No new polling of season ticket holders then.

Doesn't matter when the deadline is. The ball is in the FA's court according to the club. No new application, just as Assem promised back in September. He's a man of his word. It's over.

Dont you think all this just clarifies it for the Allams to present a case that cant be denied? A business plan isnt going to be cross examined is it? It doesnt have to work but just be presented as a good business plan.
qatar won the bid for a summer World Cup, a plan that was full of holes.
The vote was 47 to 27, easy to turn around if you know who to bribe.

I think it shows they need to provide a valid reason why it should change, and do a fair poll of fans that shows overriding support.

I don't think that can be done.

    That doesn't mean I don't think they'll try...

Obviously why they want to keep the same application as they will try to use the vote they did take.

The decision does say they can do a ballot however they see fit...

It does, but I would imagine that another poll of a similar nature to the last will be met with the same unimpressed response as is evident in the decision.

It seems to me that the wanted to change the name to Hull Tigers, but totally under-estimated what is required to achieve this through the relevant authorities. Then, either by outright refusal or utter inability, have decided to not meet any of the criteria and simply press ahead with no coherent case and a dodgy vote. It's bizarre.

Of course they can, but if it's rendered utterly worthless by its design they can judge it for what it is, just like they did this time.

47 to 27. Hardly utterly worthless.

I think they appear, from the report, either unwilling or unable to submit a serious and compelling argument for change.

Perhaps they can remedy this. We will see.

    I doubt it.

What has happened here is the Club has had their appeal upheld and the first FA judgement has been made void. The process can now be started again. If I were one of those instigating the Name-change proposal, I would try to invalidate the second time around all the reasons the FA stated were responsible for the voided judgement going in favour of the NoNameChange lobby.

One thing I would say is, if the first judgement was biased, as has been found by the independent arbitrator, how on earth can it now be repeated in a manner that isn't biased?

if the Allams prove that they can bring more money into the club to the FA, this may result in giving evidence of emails, phone calls with sponsorships etc but I would of thought they would of needed to hand in a voting survey from the fans, they will either ask fans again or show the FA the Votes that we did last year!

No idea what that has to do with the ballot. It was utterly worthless because, as you well know, the options weren't restricted to the name change and they cherry picked the responses they wanted. That's why the report disregards it.

The chances of them getting proof of sponsorship for Hull Tigers are **** all, and the fact they've lied about that before wouldn't help them. All academic anyway as Assem has said he isn't re-applying and he's a man of his word.

What sponsorship could we possibly get that would be reliant on changing the name to Hull Tigers?

    I can't think of a single company.

    I'm bored.

    Really, really, really bored.

The problem is the whole "Hull Tigers" name is much maligned locally and nationally from football fans of all different persuasions, that what sane Company would want to be linked with it now.
I can only assume that behind the scenes at their generator business, they have some really good staff, because these two appear to be bungling business bafoons.

Nip over to the "Who will shed any tears" thread and wind AKCJ up, it's not very challenging but it's marginally less boring than this shyte!

I was so bored yesterday afternoon that I tidied up my tie rack.

I convinced myself that it had got so disorganised and unruly that a severe sorting was in order.

    I was ruthless.

I discarded all the novelty ties that the kids had bought me years ago.

Before they realised that I hate novelty ties.

Out went any which bore unidentifiable stains - mainly soup. (Unless it improved the pattern)

Bye bye to anything that was in the remotest sense kippery.

    Or striped.

    Or polyester.

Or where the little loop where you tuck the thin bit into the fat bit had become detached.

    Or that the wife likes.

    I feel liberated.

    Free.

Mind you, I've only got 3 ties left.

**** knows what I'm going to wear on Thursday.
