They have been salivating at the prospect of an easy 3 points next week end (many have not even contemplated any other possibility :) ) now they don't feel so confident. #sqeakybumtime

We have already beat them 3-0 when we were at our lowest, now we have improved a bit (as have they) so it should be a good game <ok>

This is only one match. Let's see whether you can do it against us. If you beat us at home, I'll say you'll have a chance of getting a CL place.

I think the opposite happened when we lost to arsenal. The truth is somewhere in the middle. The ONLY thing that worries me is Van Gaal to be honest.

    <ok> <laugh>

I keep repeating to myself: "there is method in the madness. He knows what he is doing. It is just that we are not clever enough to understand him."

Isn't that Rodgers trying to stop his face sliding off onto the floor?

If he doesn't do it at least three times a day he ends up looking like the toxic waste guy from Robocop

Point 4 worries me, let alone giving them hope!!!

It does concern me he won't be able to resist changing it someway. What we saw yesterday will work v Liverpool, no doubt at all.

PLEASE do not be tempted to bring back Di Maria or play Blind at CM or drop Mata in any way. Just leave it be for another game and see how we go, it was good.

    Very good.

(cracking match thread too, don't you think?)

Great match thread. Please do the NEXT one too. Thats a very important one.

Most managers hitting a successful formula will defo retain it for the next match. But I've given up predicting LVG's formations.

    This.

If Ruff doesn't do the match thread, we will all come to Swansea and make him fellate UIR's LVG sex doll.

I can think of no crueller punishment based on recent 'exchanges'...

Does anyone think he's listened to certain players or Giggs in particular after the arsenal game?? IMO he caved in through pressure to Rooney in midfield and perhaps has done similar with our team selection and reverting to our traditional style of play. Not saying he's reverted completely but just took on board what those around him were saying after the fck up last monday?

More likely the players just clicked.

Which is exactly what has been happening in fits and spurts during out last 5 or 6 games. Spurs was the first time it clicked for a full game,

I think you're the only person who genuinely believes that. Very little has clicked all season until yesterday when, as Gary Nev said today, we finally played the formation that most fans expected the team to be playing when LVG was appointed. The 5-3-2 bollox he used with Holland at the World Cup was a new system for them.

Rooney is captain. Wouldnt that be apart of his duties?

LvG say`s he has that privilge, not sure if all captains hold team meetings without the manager.
