Of our last 10 games with:
    Burnley (2008-2015) W2, D0, L8
    Crystal Palace (2008-2015) W2, D4, L4

Whichever way you look at it we need luck on our side and misfortune to embrace others, as it would be blindly optimistic to think form is on our side.

I'm sorry but what do games against Burnley or Palace in 2008 have to do with our game coming up, seven years later.

Both teams are completely different, even if you look at the game in 2013 we'll probably only have three players from that game playing this time round.

It's a measure of our form over that period over a team of very close stature; you might not think it pertinent, but when considered with results all from this season it shows we are not a good bet, are we?

I think it's pretty meaningless in all honesty.

I think we're a decent bet to beat Burnley, I fancy our chances to be honest.

Palace away is a tricky one as they look decent at the moment, and their wingers could pin our wing-backs back too deep. I think we've a decent chance of a point there though.

Palace look pretty tasty under Pardew. I think they've got zero chance of going down and might be a decent side next season.

It shows how thin margins are. We are near them in points but they are now perceived as mid-table and we are in a relegation battle. This makes all the difference when trying to sign players next season.
Bruce has had some bad luck: he signed Snodgrass and Diame and look what happened.
OK he signed Ince and had a place in the Europa League and look what happened!

I honestly think he's been quite lucky with Snodgrass cos I think he's an appalling signing and if he had been fit wouldve been seen as a bigger failure than Proschwitz. All guesswork, like.

If he stays next season and has a blinder, I'll gladly hold my hands-up.

Just need to average a point a game, I don't care how we do it, but that should be within our capabilities.

Even though we are playing the top sides mostly?
We haven't managed it so far this season - not far off though.

Hex's and hoodoos are bollocks, there's no such thing.

If we play well against Burnley, we'll beat them.

    What about curses?

    Curses are real, right?

If not then I've just wasted a whole morning.

    Curses.

We should have beaten Sunderland and Leicester but we didn't

Saying that I wouldn't be surprised if we won a game that nobody expected us to against one of the 'big' clubs

    That's football.
But I wouldn't like to rely on it over nine games.

He sort of has a point, the team looked to be built for a 5-3-2, and Snodgrass is nothing but a right winger. Where would he fit in?

He can play on either wing. We can't rely on 11 players. We need competition and think about injuries and suspensions even for £7m when we are in the Premier League.

Snodgrass can play in midfield, behind the strikers, we've often lacked a player to link the midfield and strikers(at least while Diame has been out) and he'd have suited that role.

We started the season with a 4-3-3 formation from memory. Snoddy and Ince on each wing either side of Jelavic.

It was 3-5-2, with Snodgrass in midfield(alongside Livermore and Huddlestone), with Ince playing behind Jelavic.
