You're being naive. It's a squad game, whoever comes in will have to work with what he's got. Just a fact of football.
Not being naive at all. Anyone with a brain knows them 3 aren't good enough. We will see in the last 9 games.
Fac- Alvarez has not played his natural position once for Sunderland. I'd sign him up me and play him properly. He's a good player.
He is for a wide man, but he's not a wide man, he's central player best off a striker. Think of all the slower CAM/CF who've been more than good enough. There's so many. He can hit the weights in the summer and that his apparent weakness solved. It's bollocks he's too slow to play in the middle.
This has been long overdue. How can we still be making 10ft passes with nobody there to receive them? The jig was well and truly up when we started incorporating hoof ball into our tactics - a clear sign that Poyet was out of ideas. Complaining about the squad is ridiculous - we have a better squad now on paper than we've had in years and it all now comes back to the manager. How can we have gone backwards with him after nearly 2 full seasons? What about Moyes?
No we, obviously I'm only talking for people who share my opinion. Why would I talk for someone who didn't share my opinion? Think about it. You are aware I set up the poll aren't you? There's very good chance I'm following the results so know everybody isn't of the same opinion. please log in to view this image Now go and be a dickhead with someone else eh?
His sole contribution, to a serious topic, is to use CAPITAL LETTERS to have a go at someone. Then he whinges if anyone pulls him for any reason, a very confused fella imo. This is just a guess but I reckon Poyet will be there until the end of the season. I think he'll use the absence of Giacherrini, Cattermole, AJ etc in his defence. Besides, the options are so limited they make Poyet appear the best option. He pulled off a miracle, last season, and I think that may go in his favour. People mentioning the likes of Hoddle make me shudder tbh.
He's just a sad old man with a chip on his shoulder. **** knows on the manager, but I do believe Gus will take us down.
Fully agree with this. I'm not defending Poyet here, but the alternatives are ****ing shocking and with our current squad, I doubt if Fergie could turn them around. Everyone is angry at the minute, myself included, but changing a manager at this late stage of the season could be suicidal. Let him continue till the end of the season and see where we are and who's available.
I cant find a case for the man. 4 league wins, a couple more against lower league and taken apart at home by 3 relegation rivals. A big step back from last season and cup run apart we almost got relegated then.
Can I just say - the manager is going - those players will still be here!! (And I wish you were right about Gomez, Buckley and Bridcutt (grow up and, unless you are a schoolboy, stop acting like one with the names!) but they are all still contracted to the club and, I reckon, at least one of them will play on Saturday as we have no-one else!) 2 front runners according to the rumour mill today are Allardyce (not a bad shout) and Dick Advocaat (?) - Heard nothing of Advocaat for years - although he was at AZ Alkmaar last season according to wiki
good way to start the week funk , add me to the want him gone list but i think he will remain till the seasons end whatever, no caps this time
Nor me mate, but I just have a feeling he'll be given West Ham and, if he wins, he'll stay until the summer.
2 managers would keep us up and then build a siege like mentality back at the SOL. Big Sam & Tony Pullis. IMO Big Sam would be here in a flash and would be my 1st choice. Bart (G.O.B.)
I Have to agree with you. Sam would be a good choice for our manager. Just wonder how he'd be received generally due to his links to Newcastle. I'd have him though. Pulis is a horrible manager but he gets the job done - Big Sam plays (believe it or not) more attractive football than Pulis. FFS I don;t know what's going to happen - wish I did!!
