    Well done Pol.

I was just about to post the same gag as I've heard it. (Many times over the years).

Sunlan fan's had enough of their awful performances, so in a drunken stupor, after another spineless performance by the Black Cats he goes to the Stadium of Light and nails his season ticket to the main gate.

Wakes up in the morning filled with horror. What had he done? He loves that team. Said he'll support them to his dying day.

Full of remorse he hot-foots it down to the hallowed ground to find his season ticket trampled in the mud beneath the gate. Relieved, he picks it up, then realises that some bastard's stolen his nail.

I'd typed it. There was no way I wasn't posting it.

    No problem <ok>

Try reading their history and you might notice Sunderland have no reason to take their top-flight membership for granted and I can assure you that the ones I know certainly don't; which is why you really don't have a clue, do you? Both polite and informative, you're getting a result tonight. <laugh>

Thank you again Mr Fez, Yes, I am aware of Sunderland's history but I stand by my contention that a spell in the Championship would do them good. Something is obviously drastically amiss on Wearside - whether that is managerial or not I won't pass comment on. They need time to regroup and for everyone - fans, management, owners - to get the club fit for purpose once more.

Its a lot easier to change the club with the Premier league money. If they get relegated they'd have to sell the players they want to keep and keep the players they'd want to sell. Relegation would make their problems worse.

Your words are confused, but we have the drift now. I think we should look a bit closer to home than be concerned over a rival who could easily finish above us, again. Some weeks ago I posted that I thought Sunderland would be relegated, but I thought we would, should have done better than we have.

We mentioned this managerial cycle they have last year when Poyet was still in the messiah stage of his tenure. I remember telling one of their fans on here that they'd come to hate him just like Keane, Bruce, O'Neill and Di Canio who they loved at first and he wasn't having it.

Poyet and Pearson have both lost it in recent weeks. Neither can handle the pressure and it will be interesting to see who melts down first.

Fans walking to the exit after the game has finished? What a disgrace!

Haha! There are more stewards around the perimeter when it's empty than there were when it was full!
