My music tastes range from Cream and Baker Gurvitz Arny via Pink Floyd and Led Zep to Queen and Bowie !
Saw Led Zep @ Knebworth in 79 and have been to most Bowie tours. Was lucky enough to go to Live Aid in 85 and Live 8 in 2005, hoping for another in 2015.
been to lots of concerts with wife and kids over the years (some have been truly awful Avril Lavigne and JLS) but I can still remember the weirdest which was Yes @ The Wembley Empire Pool with loads of ice and 30 minute solos !

  2. I use a lot of modal playing in my stuff, which I mix in with the blues pentatonics. All the players that have influenced me did that, and I was doing it even before I learned the theory. Blackmore was particularly good at mixing exotic modes with blues pentatonics.

  3. Never saw Zep, but would love to have done. I went to a few of the Monsters of Rock concerts at Donnington Park, at the start of 80s and saw most of the bigs acts at that time - AC/DC, Whitesnake, Blue Oyster Cult, Motorhead, April Wine, etc. I've played a fair few festivals with my band, and I occasionally bump into the odd old rocker who's still on the circuit.

  6. I know, I know, I know! Spurs are playing like a bunch of clowns. United don't have to good enough for Top 4 when they can play sides like us, today!

    We are dreadful!

On this evidence, the only shift that's going to be in evidence, this season, is Spurs slipping outside the top 6!

    Appalling for us, today!

It's all gone downhill for Spurs right after they beat us, just look at their results, we truly are their cup final and adrenaline rush.

  10. We've had an extremely variable season, typical of a club in transition. We've shown, in flashes, that we have what it takes to do the business against the top sides, but we've also proven that we lack the kind of consistency to make any serious claim for regular CL honours.

When we've been good, we've been outstanding; but when we've been poor, we've been dreadful.

All I can say, is that it's a good job you've ditched the power shift idea HIAG.

Will we now see you ditching your prediction that Arsenal will finish 7th behind West Ham and Spurs ?

Why can't you play every week like you did against Chelsea when you beat them 5 - 3 as it was a very good game.
as I have said to SD on other posts I would rather have Spurs as a rival than Chelsea as Spurs play football. I have never liked Chelsea and I am talking about a dislike from the 70's when they had Chopper Harris who was a ****, and they are still a team to be despised with a **** of a manager. Chelsea are anti football.

I'd agree with this. I dislike Spurs because they are our North London rivals, but I ****ing despise Chelsea and their scummy fans. That club is rotten to the core and without Roman juicing them they would just be another two bit yo-yo club like Millwall.

Domination <laugh> You've won more since Roman decided not to buy the Spuds. But you still lag way behind us in terms of trophies. You're a **** club with no history and without the rubles you'd still be battling it out with the likes of Rotherham in the second tier <ok>

Don't worry when FFP comes in or when Roman leaves we'll go back to being Rotherham <ok>
