You see what happens when you play a decent Midfield. And when you pass forward instead of side to side...you score!
"The feature of the game has been the balls into Rooney. The pace of our passes, the forward passes not the laboured sideways passes we've seen." Gary Neville
The players obviously feel more comfortable now. Its been showing for a few weeks and the pace has also picked up.
It shows he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against arsenal. He wasted a sub when he could have just changed Shaw for Carrick, just moved Blind to LB instead of taking Herrera off. We have world class players but if you don't play them, you don't play.
Utd have been very good, more purpose to the passing than I've seen in any other game this season, Spurs have been terrible and have failed to adjust to what is a clear tactical change the winger needs to protect Walker and enable Walker to pick up Fellani when required, it's great to try and dominate and push wingers on when it's working but when it doesn't hard work is required and Spurs lack that all over the pitch. Take nothing from Utd though the movement and passing has been very good. For the #jinx to continue it's got to one hell of a second half from Spurs.
Fair play, that's more like it. We absolutely have to play with this purpose next week also. Carrick and Herrera was always going to work, just a case of getting both fit at the same time and going with it.
