Match Day Thread Chelsea vs SAINTS - 15/3/15 - 13.30 K.O

Well that was very good. It looks like the early season Saints again. Joy! Slightly worried about the combination of Sadio's (unfair) yellow and his exuberance, but it's lovely having pace upfront.

I think we should go skiing more often.

 

Only two things worry me here: Hazard still looks awesome when they give him the ball and Costa seems to be winning too many balls that come into the box.

 

Best half in a long time. Fluent, confident and direct...more of that please.

 

I've noticed this, his jump is utterly ridiculous.

I can't believe I'm saying that I'm dissapointed that we're not winning, I think we might have missed our best chances to score - Chelsea will be all over us in the last 15 minutes and we're going to need a lead to protect if we're looking to win.

 

Going forward, we look like we are making John Terry soil his nappy.

Mane and Morgan have been outstanding so far! Davis has harried them well too.

I agree with the missing our best chances thing - we needed to make the pressure count. Can't see Chelsea being that poor again for the second half unfortunately.

 

He has been excellent, but did you notice the first 2 minutes. His first two touches/passes were so sloppy I was thinking "eek"... but then normality and French smoothness returned. He is making Matic look a chump at the moment.

 

I can, I think they are done. good job they have a good lead in the table. They'll win the league, but they look dour, as they did on Wednesday and against Burnley.

 

Chelsea started very well, but then started to fade as half time was approaching.

 

Mis-match down the left side. We'll see if Mourinho can fix that. If not, we can win this game.

Sat watching in a hotel in Tunisia and shearer is the pundit......says we are doing very well

 

Think that the sheer number of meaningful games they've had piling up has had an effect; with the League Cup and CL, the league matches are/were something to skate through. Be interesting to see if they kick things into gear now that it's the only competition remaining, on if they simply continue coasting at half-throttle.

Great game and really could go either way. I wonder if Pelle's demeanour recently was effecting the team. They just seen a lot more effervescent today (though I may be way overthinking that/could be the break/type of game/combo of all).
