I want hi out regardless. But if he is a coward and plays the same system till may he will have ruined a great opportunity, an opportunity he has worked hard to bring about. He needs to seize the chance.

Chippy, why do you want him out? Take the results of the Hockmadoodle gandi & the other guy out of the equation, & we'd be nailed on for top 6. Yes, we can do better. But we're now much harder to beat. And with a couple of good additons, we'll be a good bet for top 2 next season

Boggers yes it's great to have the points on the board and we are harder to beat. However from the 25+ games I have seen live this season the harsh truth is that we have been fortunate in a large number of them to get anything from them. A number of teams have played us off the park, yes hard work, luck and an odd shot at goal will secure you a league position between 10th and 17th. But it won't help you take the next step and challenge the top of the table.

If Redfearn stays we won't go up ever.

We need a philosophy that produces more decent chances for decent strikers, and we need to protect the defence by having a midfield that challenges, tackles and generally presses the ball higher up the pitch. Yes I am suprised we are so high up the league, but I know how lucky we have been this year.

We are almost at the point of renewing season tickets and given I want to move to the east stand I will be saying goodbye to £1200 for two tickets. I want to feel that we might just be in with a shout next year.

I'm very disappointed that we're not giving some of the kids & loanees some reasonable game time.

We've been crying out for a left winger. We've already got a specialist LW in Walters. So why is he not playing? Why does Redders moan about wingers when he's got Walters & can use either Doukara or Montegnegro on the left?

Del Fabro should be getting some game time too, and learning from one of the masters we have at CB. Killock & Skelton can't be far away behind him.

Coyle at RB should be first on the list for game time IMHO, and Denton worthy of consideration too at LB.

The time has come, surely, to make a decision about Dawson. There's no doubt the lad has talent, but he's not getting game time. Why not, and has the time come to let him go? That's another season where he's not had a far chance. Hopefully Purver or Phillips (a favourite of mine - you may have noticed :D) will get a good run too.

Attackers? If anyone should be getting game time, it should be Doukara & Antenucci, and most definitely not Morison. From what I've seen from Cani, he's another Habib Habibou. Sharp is an impact sub at best. Montenegro? Hmmm. Dunno. The reality of the situation is that we need ruthless strikers bought in. And functioning goalscorers too - not more cheap jobs.

Now before you get carried away & launch into me, I realise that not everyone can get this game time together. We'd get smashed week in week out if that happened, and that wouldn't do anyone any good. But my God, surely we should be trying out bloody someone at this point? FFS, have we got to wait until the last game of the season to see any of these faces?

****ing hell, forget the date. Remember the year.
Wj makes a post full of correct points without any errors.
All that was missing was the get rid of Redfearn point and I would have been totally in agreement.

Fair points well made Chippy. We'll have to agree to disagree on Redders & his potential Chippy. Apart from that, I'd like to see a number of squad players getting a chance to show what they can do in preparation for next season.

In that regard, I can see a number of foreign import loanees not being retained. But I would like to see Dawson in CM controlling proceedings, maybe with N'Goyi acting as enforcer if that's what he's been acquired to do.

PS : Anyone coming down for the Fulham game?

Make a note I totally agree with Chippy about Redders we need a proper coach he has been more than fortuinate clueless when he picks Morison as a winger when we have some lads who specialise in that position, yesterday we scored 2 goals with headers thats the same as we have scored in 37 games !What we would achieve if we had some tricky wide boys.Hope NYOGT gets a game against the worst team in the league and give some game time to Fabio Phillips Montenegro sorry but Dawson needs another spell with a lower league team for me.The young lad from Brazil sorry not for me he chickened out with that cross against Fulham at er when he should have scored again agree with Chippy a show pony at best

Thanks for that. One caveat about playing tricky wide boys at blackpool. Their pitch is a disgrace. And perhaps we might be better playing Cani and morro up top in a 4-1-3-1-2 and playing a bit more direct. Norwich is a game for wide men.

    Just testing...
    Drop Silvestri or go with

    4-3-1-2 long ball.

Silvestri is going to be a great goalkeeper but he needs coaching in the art of catching and distribution this is where i disagree with Chippy on him

By the way you mention the Blackpool pitch well you will probably find that where the wingers work it will be fine I remeber watching Hull City a week before they entertained Brighton it was a mud heap but not on the wings I met the Brigton team at their hoteland the manager let me tell them abpout how to play on the wings unfortunately next morning the game was called off for a waterlogged pitch so I will never know if my plan worked !Managers name was Barry LLOYD

The issus I have with Silvestri is that I don't see any perceptible difference between him on the first day of the season and today. He's still a decent shot stopper, but he's still weak on crosses, punches when he should catch and don't even get me started on his kicking. He's a decent keeper, but he needs to constantly improve and I'm just not sure he has this year. He is still young though <ok>

well another win away at fulham so were keeping the pressure on brentford in 6th place
now 14 points behind them . on saturday brentford are home to millwall and i reckon millwall
could draw or beat them and leeds are away to blackpool who are going down so we should beat them
by a couple of goals so leeds are closing in on 6th place ha ha well yer got to hope !
