His tackles deserve their own following and campaign group to raise awareness amoung the uneducated group we like to call referees! I'm ****ing dead serious! From the 2 tackles he laid on Rooney and Co last season to the corker he did yesterday, which even I could see was fair from 50 yards away, why are referees so set on calling a foul everytime? A great tackle should be applauded not penalised...some referees obviously don't understand this and need direction.
I sometimes think he goes to ground too easily, but he gets it right far more often than not. Makes me sick that he gets punished sometimes.
Bruce is essentially being punished for tackling too hard. 'Excessive force' I think the refs call it. What a load of old bollocks They're nearly always clean as a whistle, he takes the ball and doesn't lunge. He'll get sent off for one of them soon and I bet it'll be another superb tackle.
Probably next game v Chelsea...my guess is a ball and all tackle on Hazard who then stays down prone for half an hour whilst all 10 of his team mates harang the ref
More than likely. Out of interest, was anyone looking at the Leicester play (Mahrez I think it was), when Bruce tackled him? I could swear he was about to hop back up, saw the ref blow his whistle and started rolling about holding his leg.
He rolled and rolled and ****ing rolled. Not sure if he looked up to see. Disgraceful decision. Really really cant stand it. No better example of a block tackle will you see. Trippier did to De Michelis right on the touchline. He knew he'd been booked and threw himself to the ground screaming. Dyche and all the Burnley bench waving their arms.
There was a big delay between tackle and rolling around antics, I'm sure it was after the ref blew for the foul.
It was another very good display from Alex Bruce yesterday - not far behind a classy display from Dawson. There was one paticularly brave header against a raised boot in our penalty area during the second half. Maccca also contributed well to a very solid back line. The steadily accumulating list of yellow cards for good, solid tackles is a worry though.
I don't know about anyone else but a good crunching ball and all tackle Is as good as a nutmeg to me. I'm feed up of all these hard, but fair tackles been pulled up for fouls.
Dawson's yellow shouldn't have been given either. Must say the back 3 since Chester's injury & Davies' demotion to the bench, have surprised me- Macca & Bruce are playing well & Daws is terrific as well. Big test next week though.
the back 3 were superb yesterday they didnt get a clear shot at Mac all game big test next week but Ill bet a pound to a penny they will step up to the mark and be counted just want a ref that appreciate s a good fair tackle
