Good morning all from a cold and crisp Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and very good luck to the Golden Boys!
A good morning to all. Bright and sunny here after a little overnight rain, so must get some jobs done before connecting to Jon Marks for what I hope will be a great showing of everyone at WFC pulling together. A win of course is expected today.
BB & OFH, further to your posts yesterday, I can announce that I will be moving back to England next year but I want to leave after my youngest turns 18 (5th Jan). I've already discussed this with the person who was my manager at the time before her promotion with the possibility of getting a job at our London office which is in Canary Wharf. Apparently, there is to be a discussion about this on 26th June with people high up in my department in our office - I don't know if they'll be speaking to their counterparts in London. I have been advised to keep an eye on the corporate intranet for any jobs in London - there is one in the last list of vacancies but I doubt it'll still be available in 10 months. What is in my favour is that I gave them so much notice.
Up before Dave - that is to watch the Aussie GP. Problem is, I want to watch the Ireland v Pakistan match as well.
Where do the FLS get these pundits. Still referring to our beginning of season management changes, for the record first one was pre planned and could-should nave been done in the closed season, second one was medical and outside control, third was the only real management change this season and has provided the stability to get where we are now
i will be very happy that they treat us us the best team in the league once we are 6 pts clear with lol
Why does anyone care that we are ignored by the media? I am quite happy that they concentrate on the other sides and show no understanding of what is going on at the Vic. If we get promoted we will be favourites to go down after one season, but in reality I think we would be the least likely of any of the teams challenging apart from, possibly, Norwich. The media is EPL obsessed. Most have little awareness that the current Championship is probably the tightest and most exciting competition there has ever been in any league based sport. As a consequence they are only interested in the 'big' teams and the fairytale teams (and you have to admit that what has happened at Bournemouth is remarkable - up there with us and Wimbledon so far). The only website that I have seen that is astonished by the level of competition in our current league is NBC in the States. It is helpful for us that SJ is no media superstar. In fact, I would guess that he is the sort of person interviewers hate because of his apparent lack of emotion and his ability to only answer what he is being asked in one sentence, rather than blather on in a chatty sort of way. My hope is that it all stays this way. It would be nice to have guaranteed promotion with one game to play so that the spotlight remains off us and focuses on the battle for the other promotion place. Maybe if there are still a number of teams in the hunt then, the media will finally wake up to what a wonderful competition the Championship is.
OK you lovely people, I have an early start tomorrow it the hospital, I think they're considering putting me down! No, it's physio to be united with a stick to aid me walking with this awful back problem! Night all Night H

The changes are small but I need time to get accustomed to what is done. The print machine is now in a big cupboard which is like something from 2001 Sapce Odessy. We have chairs with very high cushions to have quiet areas. The company has spent a lot of money to make things better, what is done is good but we are in the middle of nowhere and have visitors only rarely.
Morning all thanks for the coffee AK, pleased to hear you're back in your office, look out for HAL. Morning Dave hope all went well at the hospital yesterday.
