He's simply not up to managing a Premier League team, he doesn't know how to behave like a Premier League manager and more importantly, he doesn't know how to win Premier League football matches. Not that it matters, he's not going to be a Premier League manager much longer. I doubt he'll be Leicester's manager much longer either.
Are you seriously trying to defend his behaviour there? How can his players have any respect for him when he behaves like a ****, not once, not twice but three times in such a short period of time? He's not defending his players in that interview, he's behaving like the massive **** we all know him to be.
Ok, say he comes up against Leicester & does that. I personally will try not say anything against ex players & managers, but FFS he's cutting it close to the bone!
It was a relevant question that questioned his player's behaviour in a game. His response was petulant, arrogant, rude, ignorant & irrelevant. He was simply displaying his natural ****ish behaviours. People tend to do this when they're out of their depth & are unable to cope with the situation they're in.
I've always like him, and found his terseness amusing. When he told that fan to **** off and die, I laughed. Vintage Nige. However, I watched this clip last night and didn't find it to be funny. I sometimes think that Nige has his tongue firmly in his cheek, and the usual lot who fail to detect this on here go mad, but I think on that clip he is just being a ****, and he can't answer reasonable questions adequately. My girlfriend came in as I was watching it and said "What a prick". She doesn't even know who he is.
As someone who is (unfairly) labelled on here as the champion of the indefensible, when even I can't defend him, something must be up. Telling fans to **** off and die is slightly amusing, calling a middle aged lady an old ****, not so much. His behavior yesterday was disturbing and I honestly think he needs a career break or change, he's really not cut out for this management malarkey. He's at risk of a serious breakdown. Obviously he should see the season out first.
Me, bitter? I hated Pearson before it was cool! Him leaving our club was the best thing he ever did for us.
Asking Pesrson to manage a Premier league football club is like giving a kid a brush and telling it to paint the Mona Lisa.
Eh? It isn't what he said. Or even whether I agree with it. It is that he said it while wired for sound, and being filmed, in a press briefing that he is contractually obliged to do. In front of a camera and the press. Just bone headedly stupid. I feel sorry for him more than anything he he just doesn't deal with stress well. His defence to pressure is to front up, and it makes him look a cock. It's that simple. Irrespective of the fact it was a prick question!
