Does anyone else use Kodi on Android to stream live football? I've bought a tablet with mini HDMI as my Nexus doesn't have HDMI but I'm also trying to use Yatse to remote this via a chromecast dongle. The HDMI link on the new table works perfectly but not the Chromecast on the nexus. Anyone else tried this? If I can get casting to work I can send the tablet back and save a few quid. NBC stream all live games so it's worth the effort
Good job somebody knows what you're on about... To an extent, enough to hook you up with folk who do know their onions on this. Hull lads rate it. http://www.not606.com/threads/kodi-tv.291389/#post-7586131
lol, it was all Greek to me mate, until I had a shufty and there's lots of guides on the tube to help out. Basically KODI is a rename of the software that was developed to watch video on an XBOX game box. It can run on an android tablet (or a PC) and gives you access to lots of films, TV, dodgy stuff and footie. Picture can be HD quality and one of the add ons is NBC streamed premier football. You just link your PC or tablet to a TV which is fine using a cable. What I'm trying to do is wirelessll "cast" it from a table to my TV, unsuccessfully
I have tried streaming using MOBDRO from an Android phone with First Row supplying the link. It works but picture quality is rubbish if anyone can crack this I'm all ears.
Kodi works fine with the tablet linked cvia mini HDMI. Watched a bit of the Palace game via Staael (BT Sport stream). You can get this via the Phoenix add-on. The only problem I am having is trying to cast from the Nexus(which doesn't have a HDMI socket) to the Chromecast dongle. Tried Yatse as a remote but haven't got it to work yet. After today's shambles it's no longer top of my list of things to do!!
Its a good way to stream the matches but its a bugger to set up Watching the City game on SS1 via the stream, HD quality.
