Both sad imo. A petition about a petition basically.

If you haven't read any Pratchett books because you don't read "fantasy novels" please try "UNSEEN ACADEMICALS" which is football based and with a subtle use of the line "who ate all the pies". It's good!

What are your favourite Disc World novels?

I think mine are Pyramids, Sourcery, Interesting Times, Monstrous Regiment, Going Postal, Reaper Man. Possibly some others but some of the earlier ones I've only read once (e.g. the Fifth Elephant) so I can't remember much about them.

I hope Sky do some more of his books as mini-series. Going Postal was amazing.

I understand fans of Terry Pratchett have been very upset over the author's death. I spoke to my cousin yesterday, who is a fan of the author, and he said he was surprised by how much he was affected by it, and realised how much he loved the books. He's always trying to get me to read them, but I get through the first 20 pages or so and find nothing there for me to latch onto. Horses for courses. I'm going to have another go at Interesting Times purely because a friend from way back gave it to me to read and it is still hanging around the place, so I don't even have to make the effort to borrow one.

Mind you, I've still got 20 odd Patrick O'Brian Aubrey-Maturin books to get through and despite being a fan of those I'm no nearer to completing them since 2 years ago when I got my Galaxy S2. It has become my bedtime radio/tv/media player/book/you name it..

Johnny and the Bomb, Only You Can Save Mankind and Johnny and the Dead #primaryschoolmemories

Interesting Times is a Rincewind novel, which tend to be quite closely linked, so just to warn you. I believe Two Flower is in that one and was in first Discworld book (Colour of Magic)

Should really go back and re-read some of the earlier ones including Equal Rites. Haven't read them since I was at school.

Well the normally tolerant and silent majority have only just got going. Whether they will have the energy to bother remains to be seen. I read that Jeremy may save them the bother anyway.

Jeremy Kyle...yuk. Don't like him over much, but I wouldn't watch if Jose Fonte was doing the interviews. Those stupid people who haven't even the grace or shame to keep their dirty secrets secret.

    England 10 Scotland 10

England looked much better at the beginning without scoring enough, now the Scots back in it.

I'd like to see Clarkson and Kyle put in a locked room in a duel to the death, don't care who wins......

England try. They'd have more tries if they had fewer players...pitch far too crowded. Then it would be a different game I guess.
