this Clarkson `news` story is doing a great job of keeping the Mirror`s phone hacking scandal off the front page.
I have one very posh rich friend and she is lovely. Clarkson is up himself and I cant stand to look at him!
I like Top Gear, and love Pointless. Mind you, I watched a whole episode of Rosemary and Thyme the other day so what do I know.
Like Pointless, but my favourite quiz show at the moment is Tipping Point. Being smart helps, but that blessed machine is the major character in the game. You could answer lots of questions, get 5 goes and (if the machine doesn't like you) you get zilch and a complete numptie will get a cascade of discs.
Oh my goodness. I walked in and found the wife arching this the other day. I must have looked at the screen for ten minutes and I think only one or two questions were asked.... So slow, so dull.
The thing about watching quiz shows is how little some people know...I'm not talking about specialist knowledge, but the basic stuff that anyone would be expected to know. They must have walked blindfolded and deaf into their twenties or thirties. A simple question comes up and I comfortably sit back expecting the correct answer (especially when offered three choices) and there is a long pause (with me screaming at the TV) before they say they will have to guess.....Guess that water is H2O, guess that Nelson died at Trafalgar, guess that Charles II hid in an oak tree, guess that Churchill was PM during the Second World War. I'm going for one of my frequent lie downs.
OK. By the way, I notice a Clarkson Off TV petition has been started. I think the normally tolerant and silent majority have sensed their chance and have gone for it.
Probably because smarter people are less likely to be roped into on-line petitions This statement will be rescinded if it does pass the Keep Clarkson number
