Since Swansea were promoted to the Premiership Liverpool have not won there. My little worries Monday 'Night Football'.
We both won away to Southampton. You have to attack us as home team, and we can hit you on the break Jojo would like
to prove a point, but we can keep him quiet.

I really hope we can get away with 3 points and then kick on and give the Mancs a good ****ing hiding! It's been coming for them and it'll hurt that much more if it's us. Taking nothing as done with you lot though, you're capable of getting a result at the Liberty.

Lawro have an idea. I do not know if he's using is head or heart.

    Swansea v Liverpool (20:00 GMT)

FA Cup: Liverpool 0-0 Blackburn highlights
Liverpool looked a bit leggy against Blackburn in their 0-0 draw in the FA Cup, which is understandable - their trip to Istanbul in the Europa League was always going to catch up with them eventually.
This will be a different test for the Reds, because Swansea will have a lot of possession.
But for all the football that the Welsh side can play, I am not quite sure they have enough of a goal threat to hurt Liverpool, and I think Brendan Rodgers' side will pick them off.
Rodgers returns to his old club with so many different options going forward, and so much pace.

Lawro on.... Liverpool's top four credentials

"After playing Swansea, Liverpool's next two games are really big ones for their entire season - at home to Manchester United on 22 March and then away at Arsenal on 4 April. They have got themselves back in the race for a Champions League spot and now they just have to stay there.
"It helps that they are out of the Europa League now and also that they have got players like Lucas Leiva and Steven Gerrard coming back from injury but overall they look in really good shape. They are playing really good football and look extremely fit for this time of year so I think they have a great chance of finishing in the top four."
I think in many ways Liverpool are better suited to playing away from home than at Anfield. They have got the momentum and I think they will go there and win.
    Lawro's prediction: 1-2
Dermot's prediction: Jonjo Shelvey will probably score but Liverpool will be too strong. 1-2

According to Lawrenson's expert opinion and forcast for this year we should be on 19 points.

Imo Dai, the only team's in the prem I see as a class above us are Chelsea, City when they're up for it and possibly Arsenal on a good day , the rest we're capable of beating or at least getting a point from.

In saying that though, I personally don't see us as having any distinct advantage over Liverpool any where on the pitch. Shelvey maybe, he does go ape against his old club but Dr J or Mr H?, who knows who he'll be but he is a wild card.

I see us mostly on par with Liverpool other than Sturridge and Sterling, Liverpool edge over us imo.

Sterling can be shut down but DM's and full backs need to be super sharp. They have to stop him running with the ball by blocking or, most likely, shoring up the channels he lives in. He cant be allowed to run at us and if do then 3-0 Liverpool imo.

The best way to nullify him is to rush him into passing quickly, i.e. hound him and close him down at all costs, get stuck into him (fairly). He is a greyhound given the space but, luckily for us, he passes like a dog too and that's what we have to make him do, rushed pass after rushed pass after rushed pass.

Sturridge is in the wings and about to enter the stage as a world class striker of the highest calibre very soon imo. Other than hoping he blows himself out, he's nowhere near peak fitness which is the only thin our DM'sand CB's can wish for. If he's near peak fitness then our boys at the back have a big, strong, fast, clever, canny probelm to deal with and Fabianski could end up being our MOM

Joe's back so it will be good to see him and I'll show Brendan the respect he's earned which, in his case, is a lot.

I call it as 1-1 draw, I'd be happy with that.

Any team is beatable but if you cant see that teams like Liverpool are not a level above us as a club then you are putting us on a pedestal that we are not near yet and probably never reach.....

just watched City beat by Burnley, there is not a side we cannot beat, just have to get the heads right and Monk to get the team right

I think your paying the Swans a dis-service by branding us a class below Liverpool Dai. I dont see you Liverpool as being a class above any team.

Every year its the same, the title is contested by 4 clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd ( the final positions come May imo). Every year, except last year for Man Utd, these same clubs qualify and represent the prem in the Champions League. These 'winning' clubs are the only clubs which can be considered as a cut above all in the prem including Liverpool.

This season includes the usual suspects and yet again Liverpool will compete for 5th, 6th, or 7th places and a Europa league slot.

I acknowledge that Liverpool have superb players in Sterling Sturridge and Coutinho, thank you enricky <ok>
but they are a class above no one in the prem right now and haven't been for 30 years give or take.

Although we are relatively new players at the table; with an interesting story of our own to tell, we know who we are, a top 10 club; could finish 8th this year, capable of beating any team in our league so, no pedestals from me Dai, with Spurs and Southampton firmly in the mix Liverpool could end up finishing 7th with just a few points between our teams.

Good luck tomorrow Dai, I see 1-1 draw with little between, certainly not a class, both sides.

No game is easy in the premiership, any team can beat any team. Please tell me the number of times Swansea had finished
    above Liverpool in the league,:undecided:

Here comes the Big Time Charlie attitude. How dare someone from little old Swansea dare to say that Liverpool are not a super power of football and we should roll over and let them beat us they are Liverpool after all. What was said if you could be bothered to read it properly was that the writer didn't see Liverpool as a class above our side, is there anything wrong with that comment or is he not entitled to his opinion.

So Stumpy in future have the decency to say that we are not entitled to challenge or compete with any of these teams and keep your honest opinions to yourself.

Swansea have finished 11th, 9th, and 12th, in previous seasons, and are currently 9th at the minute, having sat in the top 10 all season, not bad for newcomers, we must be doing something right even with the poaching of our managers and players over the period aswell, so I look very positively under Monk as we head into our 5th season of Premiership football................<ok>

Liverpool are not good enough for the Champions league spot this year, that will go to Southampton or Spurs in my view...<cheers>
