JM: "I spoke with him after the game, and when he speaks with me he’s always honest. He would tell me if there was a reason for a red card. He was very disappointed. If that’s the case I hope they can minimise the mistake and let him play in the quarter-finals because if he did nothing wrong he deserves that." Do Uefa employ the same rules as the FA? Because the ref saw the Ibra incident, PSG cannot appeal. Can they appeal for a reduced ban like we did with Matic? Also, can Luiz be charged for his elbow on Costa? The ref must have missed it, otherwise he would not have been on the field to score the equaliser. Also his behaviour in trying to get Costa sent off, even trying to get Costa to butt him, was pretty bad.
I'm beyond expecting any kind of common sense to prevail with the people who run the game to be honest!!
Harsh on Ibra who pulled out of the challenge, whereas Luis was hideous all game, even usurping Costa for shenanigans
Can't imagine they will do anything that suggests their fabulous referees ever make a mistake. This one made plenty, but it's the player who will take the punishment.
The elbow was in retaliation to one he received in the first 15mins,the ref had ignored it and when Costa smiled at him Luiz just shruged and nodded as if to say "fair enough, i can play like that". If Luiz hadn`t pulled his head back Costa would have walked
only the most blinkered of chelsea fans think otherwise, in my opinion he is fast becoming a liability. he had better bury southampton with goals and not fisticuffs
