Good Morning Everyone, please log in to view this image Redfearn faces a selection dilemma this weekend as Sam Byram, Liam Cooper and Rudy Austin have all recovered from the injuries. The squad is further boosted by Granddi Ngoyi who has a full week of training behind him after a recent injury, and should make the bench. In reality Redfearn isn't one for swapping round a winning team, and will probably stick to the same starting XI that beat Wigan last weekend. Leeds have had a blinding start to the New Year, especially against the top 10, the only recent home defeats being against Brentford and Watford. Let's just hope that Forest don't do the double over us as they did last season! Former Leeds loanee Dextor Blackstock could feature for Forest; though in reality he has not set the World alight. Freedman could unleash Modou Barrow at the Leeds defence having just signed the 22 year old pacy forward on loan from Swansea. The Reds boss has made the 22-year-old winger his first signing at the City please log in to view this image Ground, having first wanted to buy him last summer when he was manager at Bolton. In an interview Freedman went on to say "It wasn't about money because we don't have any, we were outbid there. "It was about me explaining to Swansea what I could send back, how I could develop him." No money??? I thought Fawaz Al Hasawi was going to plough £££££££ into yer club... That was a lucky swerve! So anybody thinking badly of Cellino - It could be a lot worse! I would question why have Leeds fortunes suddenly changed in 2015? Is it great management skills from Redfearn? Could it be because Cellino has distanced himself from the Club? Maybe its the emergence of the youngster's such as Cook, Mowatt and Taylor? Could it be a mixture of all three?
Good morning Matt from a dull Bardsey had a really lovely afternoon at Whitby the Magpie has increased its capacity to 150 covers so there maybe no more need to queue well worth a visit to see how a really good fish restaurant is run, I agree with you Redders will not change the team and Nogy will be playing for the under 21 today Iam I right in thinking I will only get even money on ManU to not qualify and evens for Norwich as champions it seems very poor odds to me The reason we have been so successful of late is due to the Bamba effect he has galvanised the defence Tough to call tomorrow narrow win for us
Morning Elland and all. I think it's a bit of sticking with the kids and giving them time to gel together. Hoping we're getting what we were all asking for. Which is a team based around Leeds lads and players that play for the cause. Im starting to think that we should give Redfearn another year to see what he can do in a full season. Might be nothing but is it not worth a shot? On a side note I saw that twitter was alight last night with talk of another TOMA. Apparently some email has been leaked and it's something to do with the Genting group. Believe it all when I see it. Onto the football tough match but I think we can beat Forest, we owe em for several defeats over the past few years, 3-1 with 30k fans screaming us on. Think Ngoyi will get a game with 21 squad today the play against Fulham. Speaking of Fulham see McContract is trying to get away already ha ha ha.
Morning all. Should be a good game. Worry they've got pace. But in Redders I trust. He'll have a plan & the Kop end will have a role to play. Leeds to get home 1-0
Morning all Came to throw up a match thread, see you've taken care of it again ell I'll get the next one. I think this will be an entertaining one, and judging by how we've done against other top 10 teams I think we might edge it. They will certainly give our defence something to think about though. As for why we have come good in 2015, I think a lot of it is to do with confidence. Once we started to pick up a couple of results consistently our fortunes changed. It's hard to break out of a losing spiral and that really dragged us down before Christmas. No doubt Redders getting more assured in his tactics and more game time for the youngsters will have helped too.
Morning Mike, I'm elergic to fish!!! Yuk.... Glad you enjoyed it though. On man u(re) on evens (1/1) if you put £10 on them not to finish in the top four, you'll win £10 (bet) plus £10 stake money. So £20 in total. Bamba has made a big difference, hope Cellino revises his 1 year rolling contract on any player over 30.
Morning Parnee, So on one hand it's not Redders doing as the Manager, but it was his doing as he developed the youngsters. If he's clever about it, he'll claim the plaudits for both. What is TOMA? There was talk of Ross going to Derby.
Morning Durham, Brilliant, looking forward to your match threads coming back. Hows the job hunting going? Out of the dozen or so Italian signings, only a few of them even make the squad.
Morning all, tricky time of the season now, the squad know they are safe from relegation and have no realistic chance of the play offs, (I know both are mathematically possible). I have a bit of a don't care attitude myself now, we know what the starting 11 can and can't do. Cellino said we want 2 quality strikers, we might as well start with Cani or Montenegro we have them on loan and we really need to see what they are made of. Win or lose it is no big deal, I think we should rest the younger players, next year is going to be another long season, take Cook out of the spotlight for 2-3 games, try Dawson, Sloth and even give Coyle, why not give him some experience. We need to be preparing for next season, first team Championship football is far better than preseason friendlies, most fans seem to think the same, everyone is calling for the fringe and loan players to be given a chance, is this Redfearn being stubborn, disliking a certain group, incompetence or scared for his future? Another thought, maybe the loan players have expressed a desire not to stay and we are unable to send them back due to the contracts signed?
This was our first game of the season v Millwall. Amazing... Leeds United 01 Silvestri 15 Wootton 02 Byram 03 Warnock 06 Pearce 18 Tonge 04 Austin 07 Murphy 16 Ajose (Poleon - 79' ) 29 Doukara (Cook - 64' ) 10 Hunt (Smith - 58' ) Substitutes 09 Smith 12 Berardi 13 Taylor 23 Cook 25 Killock 26 Poleon 31 Benedicic
Job hunting has gone very well cheers, accepted the job down in Hertfordshire, so it's now flat hunting that's taking up all of my time right now. Oh, and it's making me love estate agents and their fees I lose track of who we signed and who we have on loan, but I think our squad will look quite different again after summer, which isn't always the best thing. As long as we hold on to the core and improve, it won't be so bad
Alright Elland, TOMA "Take over my arse", someone thought it up after the long drawn out takeovers we have been put through in prior years. Think it came from someone on WACCOE.
Could be Redfearn is still scared to experiment as his future is still unsure... http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....ext-season-starts-right-now-ritchie-1-7153375
Morning ristac, some great comments. Hope because there is nothing much to play for that Redders experiments with the team. I totally agree with resting Cook for 2-3 games. I for one would take Ross back (for £6m)
Sorry I wouldnt take Mccontract back for free because he will disrupt the rest of the team with his excessive wage demands
