Why is the BBC throwing fuel on the fire ? The first reports were put out by the Radio Times and now radio 4. If they are having an investigation why not lock it all down and get on with it.

This now looks to be nothing more than a put up job started by Danny Cohen head of bbc tv.

I suspect if Jezza wins then Cohen has to go instead. Cohen is a PC zealot.

I heard that Clarkson was wearing a very large Cape and as he went up the stairs of the hotel the producer pulled it. Clarkson fell back onto a cold platter of ham and cheese. The BBC had asked Madonna if she will be the next star in a reasonably priced car and that's why the producer got punched.

just catching up with this thread after a few days incommunicado. when I saw the title I thought good, we'd handed him over to the Argentinians and they had reacted to the Top Gear special they filmed there. But were not so lucky.

Jeremy Clarkson is a clown. The trouble is he is a dangerous one. Anyone with half a brain can see his utterances for what they are: fake controversy to generate reaction and keep him in a well paying job. Unfortunately that rules out most people.

Just saying it like it is. By the by the BBC won't have the balls to drop Clarkson, he IS Top Gear. Frankly it's getting a little bit boring that every thing he does is blown out of proportion like this. The Beeb should probably just focus on harboring ****philes anyway, they are good at that.

    1. Employee is accused of punching a colleague at work
    2. Employee escorted off premises, suspended on full pay pending investigation
3a. Employee found to be guilty of accused assault, employee sacked for gross misconduct
3b. Employee found to be innocent of alleged assault, employee reinstated & colleague making accusations suspended pending enquiry into making false accusations

Well that's how it would work with most people in most companies/organisations & for me it's how it should be dealt with by the BBC

No man should keep his job if found to have assaulted a colleague, however big or popular they are. It's funny how those defending him would probably take a totally different approach if it were they who had been assaulted by a colleague at work

Last year the BBC introduced an anti-bullying policy. Some say (excuse the joke) that it was JC's behaviour that brought it into being, (though it came soon after the revelations about Mark Lawson's behaviour came to light.) Truth is, ask many people at the BBC who have had cause to deal with him and they will tell you he is an arrogant bastard who is rude to and dismissive of everyone. I don't care that he pisses off the top brass, but it says something about him that receptionists, lowly office staff, and others with no power say the same thing too.

He just comes across as a massive bully with sycophantic hangers on. All those defending him would be talking differently if they were the ones hanging around in a chopper for 3 hours cos he decided to go to the pub or if their mum was working in the hotel kitchens when he had a massive ****ing hissy fit cos there was only cold food boo hoo. The only downside of this story for me is that the producer involved didnt smack him first and put him on his arse.

I dont remember ever 'chilling with a celeb' let alone saying on here that I had.

And he hasnt done anything to me. I'm not suggesting somebody should arrange a meet-up in a pub car park with him, I'm saying that instead of him chucking his weight around when he's the one who caused an issue that it wouldve been gratifying to see someone use the same approach to put him in his place. But if I was that producer and he'd tried shoving me around cos he couldnt have his steak cos he made himself turn up later than scheduled then yeah, I'd have smashed his face in.

Yet you're outraged that he smashed someone's face in.
