    Where's our sorry lot?

EDIT: Ah, I see we've dropped even further, to 17th. And the FA still thinks Woy is the right man. ****ing useless yes man.

We are lucky to make the top 20 with Roy as manager. Spain outside the top 10 wow! I know they had a bad world cup, but they should be ahead of Italy, Portugal and Belgium.

Mental that Spain dropped out the top 10, how the **** are Italy ahead of them? Their World Cup was equally as bad and Spain had two consecutive titles on top.

Not in Europe, but the other confederations will have done.

Don't know how that makes Spain worse like.

We quite often seem to drop down without playing games. I know its only a few months, but we've done nothing but win since the World Cup. How can you go down based on that.

Take a look at where New Zealand are, 136th!! Theyre worse than Aruba, the Maldives, Luxembourg, Vietnam, Libya and Cuba?!

The faroes are up to 105th, which isn't bad, if we can get top 100 that's a massive achievement.

That would make sense if I was arguing we should have gone up. It doesn't begin to explain how winning every game since the last rankings can mean you go down.

there's a formula. older matches are worth less. matches against poor teams are worth less. some teams have played friendlies that have meant they robbed themselves of seeding in the last world cup finals. it's all due to the formula. look it up if it puzzles you.

england went up 3 ranking points from 1028 to 1031
czeck republic went from 990 to 1045 and passed us
romania went from 1022 to 1081 and passed us

    bingo, 2 places down. simples.

England already beat Switzerland in the first qualifying match and they're currently ranked 12th (were 10th) and have a perfect record in their group, surely the fact that they have an easy group shouldn't play too much of a part? You can only play qualifiers against those in your group, if those teams happen to be rubbish then it's well harsh.

Not harsh at all, the easier the opposition, the less points you should get. Makes perfect sense. Are you suggesting a win against San Marino is worth the same points as a win against Germany?

They still play friendlies against the big teams, but as we're **** we usually lose them.

I hope nobody is suggesting we should be higher up the rankings than we are...

I like the way you put 'Johnny Foreigner' as if foreign managers are bad.

If Woy went I'd like my original choice of Hoddle.

Agreed. It's about right for us i reckon. We were one of, if not the worst team at the World Cup.

And that should be the yardstick, not qualifying from poor groups or friendlies.
