A shame The Cockies bottled the Europa Cup on Thursday I thought you were in with a good shout of winning that and replacing The Arse as the top North London club with regard to bragging rights. See you tomorrow.

We only do well in the CL ;) Yeah bit of a shocker from us really, just didn't take our chances in the tie and gifted them goals at the other end. All forgiven if we win tomorrow though <whistle>

I noticed that Danny Rose, Paulinho, Townsend and Harry Hurri-Kane were rested on the bench on Thursday. A big gamble that didn't pay off. Out of the ageing Wenger and the upcoming Pochettino I'd say you've got the better manager. So, I'm surprised Pochettino did not go all out for the win on Thursday in what was a very winnable European tournament for you. So, as per the thread title it seems The Cockies bottled it as have The Arse so far.

Yeah, only because their games are a week later.
Barring a miracle I cannot see either going through.
Dont you guys have to win 3-0 away?
And City need to win by 2 goals at the Nou Camp?

yeah, aint gonna happen.....though I would give Arsenal more hope than City.

3-1 away win for Arsenal is good enough to take to penalties. A 4-2 win for arsenal is good enough to go through. I think arsenal will really go for it. I got the shock of Real Madrid nearly out. We conceded 4 goals at home to Shalke who were the much better team on the night.
This year the competition is crazy. Arsenal have a chance of turning this around still.
With Chelsea and Liverpool gone it is up to city and arsenal to carry your English flag in Europe now.

City are done, Arsenal have a chance because they are playing an average side by knock out C.L standards but they'll probably get hit on the counter and may need to score 4 to get through.

i think Arsenal will concede but it does not matter to them really. 3-1 is enough to take it to extra time. Scoring 4 is a possibility as they really should have scored 4 at home and we saw that in the CL away goals are flying in. If Arsenal just go for it from minute 1 it will be very close i think. An early goal will really test Monaco and you also have to consider the mindset of Monaco going into the game. Will they play to protect their lead?

If they are smart they will approach it how we did against Liverpool at Anfield last season in the Slippy G game.
Kill the tempo of the game, slow things down, time waste from minute one and frustrate Arsenal. Their mental strength will wane and they will get frustrated.

The keeper and Matic are the only two who would get close.

I would not like to see Arsenal ever approach a game the way Chelsea do really. No, Arsenal need to attack from minute 1 and hope for some luck from Monaco missed chances. If Monaco score first it does not matter, Arsenal still need just 3 goals in the 90 minutes. If Arsenal score first, especially early, Monaco will start getting anxious.

I think he meant how would Monaco approach the game. Re: Arsenal, I agree with you, an open game suits Arsenal more and they need to score early.

oh yes you are right! sorry to Bodanki!
Yes I agree that Monaco should try and slow it down and make it a frustrating night for Arsenal
