Mourinho got i wrong today. Standard champions league tactic by jose. Keep it tight. If he wins it i wont complain but far too negative for me. Especially when it isnt top european opposition. We were too cowardly against ten man psg.

Mourinho at least has brought one trophy home and if he brings home the pl then for me thats still a successful season.

Pretty embarrassing. All respect to PSG but with ten men that is shameful. I hope this is the absolute trough of the Chelsea drop in form and we can keep picking up points in the League.

Definitely. Mostly the tactic works but tonight it didn't. We got one trophy more than anyone else. If they wanna take cheap shots then let them.

Not looked good in the league lately (who has) but should still have enough to hold of City with their current performancies <ok>

Diego Harvey Oswald does have a ring to it, sounds like the next youngster Chelsea will snap up then send out on loan, just so others cant buy him <ok>

Like I've been saying for a while English football is in major decline. The strongest side in England where outplayed in both games, even when up against 10 men.

It may not feel like it now, but PSG have done you a favour, atleast now you can concentrate on winning the league, as even if you had got through tonight, you'd have been no match for any of the big 3.

It is quite embarrassing though being outplayed by a French team with 10 men at home for about an hour and a half <laugh>

It's end of the day here had a long time to think about this and run a replay. Firstly the attitude was totally wrong. Don't know if it comes from Jose, but we need someone who believes in the team, and asks them to go out and win. We go out not to lose. I don't think we are equipped to take on Europe because of one fact.... we're too small up front where it counts. PSG are a big team and bossed us off the ball too much. Worse, they are not even a really good team. Hazard, despite his pace was not pacey enough to escape committed defenders. But most of all we have not a clue how to play direct football, everything is stop, back, sideways, goalie, sideways, hope someone makes a run, no, oh well, pass to Hazard and hope he can outrun the defender.
Ramires is a waste of oxygen, he can't pass , can't hold the ball, can't create an opening and can't even run forward anymore. Oscar ditto. With those 2 on the pitch we are lifeless. Costa spends too much time on the left wing and not enough in front of the goal.He is however the only one with any ticker. Dave is not good enough nor is Cahill, and JT was done like a dinner twice in 1 minute by the same player, the second time the PSG player headed the winner. JT should have been off after 90 mins , he was never going to have the legs for another 30 mins, nor should he be expected to. So my take is ,just like last year, we need a BIG tough rampaging striker who runs at the goal, and a strong clever midfielder who can feed him. All these sideline midgets are fine in the PL but don't cut it in the CL. We also need a big, fast defender who can actually play and start attacks from the back, not just pass it to the bloke alongside him. But most of all we need a change in Jose. We are completely predictable, and are stopped in our tracks by teams that stick it up us. Not losing will never replace winning as a philosophy.

honestly, so much of this is bulls*it.

you're right that we aren't direct enough, but we have costa. we dont need a big direct striker-as we already have one. we just dont feed him well enough. not because we dont have a clever midfielder, but because our buildup is too slow, and too many of our players are out of form.

judging ramieres on his offensive contribution is stupid as i) not one of our offensive players played well yesterday, or indeed have done for maybe a month now, and ii) he clearly was put in to help out matic not rampage forwards.

Cahill did nothing wrong yesterday, he was actually along with TC, and JT one of few that had a decent game.

Dave had a bad game, hes not automatically not good enough. JT got beaten at a corner on 111 minutes. not the end of the world for him.

"Wealso need a big, fast defender who can actually play and start attacks from the back, not just pass it to the bloke alongside him."

Are you for real? we had one of those; his name was david, and he was a liability. We also have JT one of the best passers in our TEAM.

"But most of all we need a change in Jose."

    nonsense.

I think it's only fair that I pop across and allow myself a little chuckle, you've not lost much so there's been nothing to throw at you guys.

I have to say though that pass from Costa for Cahills goal was amazing how he managed to pick him out like that I'll never know. <whistle>

Your team lost. Deservedly and you've no one else to blame but yourselves. You just cannot defend a 1-1 away score line. You'll only be comfortable at 2-0 but your players were jogging along as if they were 4-0 up.

Yup, totally the wrong approach to that game, especially when they went down to 10 (Unjustly too).
We should have smelt blood and gone after them, instead their tails went between their legs.
A goal to the good and a man to the good, at home, against a side that really didn't play all that well, and we completely ****ed it........<doh>
Oh well never mind......as long as we win the league.
But Jose needs to change his mindset in these European Games. I can understand a cautious, shaky performance if we are defending a 1 goal lead away at say, the Nou Camp. But at home to PSG......he loused this one big time.
