They got an extra 200 - **** knows why we didn't take the full allocation of 3,000? It's less than a 100 miles away and possibly the key fixture of our season thus far, if we couldn't sell THIS game out, then shame on us.
Thank you for that glowing praise of my fandom. I will be tutting a fair bit, probably swearing as well, but highly unlikely I'll be singing or chanting. I'll still be supporting the team mind, just with encouraging tutting. I might even stand up and cheer if we score.
FFS, ok then, distance to travel. ie;cost. You can jump on a service bus and travel from Stoke to Leicester.
Just looked it up on google maps and we are only 38 miles further than Stoke. Which surprised me I must admit.
I'll be enjoying the football rather than spending 90 mins shouting at the oppo fans and inviting them over for a fight. I just remembered the drummer. I might shout at him.
Nothing so vulgar as encouraging the team vocally then? I am sure the team will appreciate you being there even though they wouldn't notice any difference whether you were there or not.
At least I'm making the effort. Not the same as singing in front of your pc is it? Reet looking forward to this game. I might join in a chant for you if you like? Fingers crossed it'll be a mauled by the Tigers one.
65 miles is closer than a lot of the games I make the effort to go support my team in person but I wouldn't describe it as local. Depends when in December to be honest. Must be awful for you never having any special events to celebrate or commemorate with loved ones. I'd hate to be as bitter as you.
Everyone has events to celebrate. Especially at Xmas time. It just doesn't prevent them going to games for a month. Ever wondered when you are sat at home that Boxing Day Is the best day for crowds? I wish I could be there on Saturday. Give me avhoice of going to this game with what is sat stake and sitting amongst the tourists at the Emirates, OT or Anfield and it is no contest. Unfortunately it is unlikely I will make another game this season. Although what saddens me more is I am not as bothered as when I had to miss an odd game in Divisionn3 or 4.
I don't go for the crowds, I go for the game. Spending half of Boxing Day in my car or with my family is a no brainier. I get to some games early in December which is still more than some. We can stop this now if it's hurting you or making you even more bitter. I'm truly sorry you can't make it to games you know. I'd buy you a beer and wouldn't even tell you to sit down.
I am lucky. Have a wife who likes football and always used to go with me until we had kids. Then took the lads who are now both City fans despite being brought up away from Hull. Pleased to say it was their choice. Unfortunately both of them are having to work Saturdays at the moment which pisses them off after all the years they went when we were crap and all the kids at school took the Mickey and continued after they had left and were working. Even more disappointing is it means the grandkids aren't going as often as we would like. Still, worse things happen in life.
I got that, but Lincoln isn't that close. Any of the Yorkshire teams would have been a better example.
Well done there CC - my kids grew up away from Hull too, one of my daughters is a Grimsby Town season ticket holder (fair play to her for her suffering), my son is a Nottingham Forest fan, like me, they went to football with their mates and stuck with them ........ City were really **** at the time and, to my everlasting angst, I couldn't persuade/blackmail/cajole any of my three kids to BP .............. I'm the last of the line ........... bollox!
