While it's early days to say what is/was wrong with SS, I hope they do the right thing by the horse and retire him rather than just look for easier targets.

Full marks to old Somersby for making a race of it, but you'd have to say that the fact he was so close devalues the form somewhat.

But lets not be crabby, DB beat everything he had to, and did it well.

Don't want to worry anyone but Sire Collongues is in my book next up :)

The second is rated 161 these days, the third is rated 160 so Dodging Bullets has run to 163 probably. I will be having a bet on UN DE SCEAUX every winning week between now and next March for the 2016 QMCC....!

That is probably the worst Champion Chase form ever.

Fair play to Dodging Bullets though, but Un De Sceaux will make mince meat of this lot next year.

Sad to see Sprinter Sacre run like he did, he's clearly knowhere near the horse he was

At between 5/4 and 2/1 stick? A bit short surely but I agree he turns up next year and he wins

Have to say I think Quantativeeasing is dangerously overlooked in some quarters. Bolger is the king of Cross Country and a disappointing run last time out could end up being the spin that gets the horse spot on for today. A very good 2nd to Any Currency here in the autumn, beateb 12L off level weights, but today gets 9lb from his rival, means he has to be bang there? I've had a bit of 9/1 this afternoon

Does Barry G have questions to answer regarding his pre-race comments? He was bigging up the horse unneccessarily whereas Henderson wasn't? Just a thought.

What kind of ride was Chicago Grey given there by Davy Condon? Never put in it the flogged down the straight 20 odd lengths back and no chance..

Last bet of the day for me: Baron Alco (4.40) and Wait For Me (5.15), small E.W. double bet (even though the trainer is fairly confident about General Principle in the finale).

It's racing so we know how difficult it is but that's why the Cheltenham placepots can be so rewarding if you get the luck on your side!

4 places to aim at isn't it?

He was kicked before the race started. Maybe the horse didn't fancy it after that.

And to be fair Chicago Grey is a bit of a hold up horse anyway
