    All/most symbols change. Edit- nevermind I got this one confused with the other similar game, this one gives the same symbol to the only possible outcomes. I'm no pupil of maths but there will only be a very small number of possibilities and I guess it sticks that symbol to all of them.

    Or that you can only get 89, 81, 80, 72, 66, 63, 54, 45, 36, 30, 27, 24, 18, 9 or 0

    Yeh sorry I hadn't gone all the way through the game and thought it was a similar one where it bets you that your symbol disappears or something. Edited my post.

    Not really, I picked 56, then you add them together it makes 11, take that away from 56 it makes 45, it gave me an eye symbol instead of the pyramid thing which is what the symbol for that number was.

    well he got mine wrong, sucker.

    edit: i should say that since he just said the symbol 'next to' instead of 'to the right of' like he should have, i exploited the loophole and went for the one on the left of the number i picked.

    It all due to an anomaly in the 9 times table. Based on the principle that all numbers in the table when you add the digits together total 9 eg 45 - 4+5=9, 63 - 6+3=9. You can make it as elaborate as you like, if you look all the numbers in the 9 times table have the same symbol net to them.

    10 = 1+0 = 1
    10-1 = 9

    11 = 1+1 =2
    11-2 = 9 so its always 9 for 10 to 19

    20 = 2+0 = 2
    20-2 = 18

    21 = 2+1 = 3
    21-3 = 18 so its always 18 for 20-29

    all numbers 30-39 will equal 27
    all numbers 40-49 will equal 36
    all numbers 50-59 will equal 45
    all numbers 60-69 will equal 54
    all numbers 70-79 will equal 63
    all numbers 80-89 will equal 72
    all numbers 90-99 will equal 81

    so all those numbers will have the same symbol

    is simple terms (but i like to see workings) it will always be a multiple of 9 so the simple changes next to a multiple of 9 each time.
