The Hendo horse would have been in the mix Oddy, but blundered out of contention at the last. Good win for Windsor Park though, and nice for Davy <ok>

Another Mullins shortie goes in - that sounded very impressive. Kings Palace chanced a few fences and didn't get home by the sounds of it. Did the mare get 3rd?

SOUTHFIELD THEATRE jumped sensationally well there apart from one real bone shaker 4 out that stopped him for a bit, without that one error he would have gone very very close. Apart from that one mistake he outjumped Don Poli at every fence. Didn't help Kings Palace that The Young Master jumped him ragged as well.

The Young Master is a handicapper and Kings Palace is a bully against inferior horses. The two best horses in the race were first and second imo. Don Poli's wonderful jumping allowed him to be so lazy throughout the race.

Been looking forward to the handicap- big fancy for UN ATOUT and DELL ARCA (blinkered first time).

Un Atout is tongue tied which could make the difference because he lolled his tongue out in a Supreme when 4th in a superb renewal (behind Jezki, My Tent, and Champagne Fever) and is bred to enjoy this trip. The little bit of water will have helped his chances too <ok> He is fairly handicapped off 145.

Dell Arca loves the hustle and bustle of these races and perhaps the blinkers can eek out improvement and get him to focus- perhaps he will go from near the front?

I knew I had done my money on Kings Palace when he clouted either the third or fourth last and pitched on landing. He and The Young Master may have gone too quick on the first circuit as he went out like a light as soon as Tom pulled out the persuader on the turn up the hill.

I cannot take anything away from the winner. Once he got over the last he disappeared off up the hill leaving the other to fight out the places. He did not travel all that well throughout the whole race but never looked in any trouble.

Thanks for the analysis lads, the Irish are cleaning up. What are they doing differently (apart from shelling out fortunes for French-breds)?
