I was mocked a couple of weeks ago for suggesting refs and their decisions were helping you to win. What a difference if the ref stands up to your cheating. So when Rooney dived and was offside. ...when your expensive flop of a stroker felt his shirt touched by OSHEA he feel as if struck by a sniper. Last night the ref caught two of your team our with their cheating Di es. I did not see a replay of Young when he won a free kick but as he is a habitual diver my guess is that it was a Tom Daley. He is hoping top four are Chavski, Chitty the bin dippers and gooners. Manure out of the top 4...
Hes nowhere near the biggest glop considering hes contributed more than most. Some players have added nothing at all to their clubs. You have one of your own who £ for £ is the worst player in the league.
And as flops go, given the money spent he has to be in contention. Balatelli's been ****e but cost about 25% of Tia Maria. Can't be LVG's fault, that guys a tactical genius as we kept hearing during the summer.
The money and the costs of players are just irrelevant to me. As long as we are within the FFP, what do I ****ing care whether the GGs spend £6m or £60m on a player or pays him 100k or 300K a week? It is their the greedy GGs money after all and United fans won't see a penny of it. For the owners it is either £300m or £600m profit going into their pockets. And make no mistake they will easily recoup that money by other means. CL or no CL United will remain a huge cashcow and retain a huge global following. Penalty clause or none. Would I be crying if United made a ****ing loss of £35m on a player? If you think I will you ****ing believe in the tooth fairy. But my point about spending £300m when our squad was found wanting during Moyes tenure was to arrest the slide. People think it is easily done. It is not. Having said that we also need to look to the future, the long term success of United has been built on finding talented youngsters. it is now that some fans realise that the domination of the premiership was unique and exceptional and not the norm. and it was the youngsters who extended that domination. Giggs and Scholes and Beckham took over the baton from the likes of Ince Hughes and Cantona and lasted more than decade. Can United fans expect the same thing to happen again? will any club expect to rule for that long?
Yep all summer we heard LVG was a genius and Costa was a flop, thanks to one game: Holland 5 Spain 1. I warned tellyclapping, tabloid-reading, Talksport-listening United fans not read too much into one game and they would not listen
Is Diva Maria like Fabregas, he only signs a contract to play up til Dec 1? Gary Neville says problem is: "There is also the fact that, within days of signing for United, Di Maria released a letter to Real Madrid supporters insisting it was never his wish to leave the Bernabeu. Having grown up in and around Manchester as a United supporter, it is easy to regard the club as the biggest in the world, but we have to accept that, as a South American, playing for Real Madrid or Barcelonais probably the fantasy of every footballer from that part of the world and Di Maria has moved to England after being told he was not wanted at his dream club. So he has come to United when he did not want to leave Madrid... So while it would be easy to say that Di Maria must now start playing, stop sulking and get on with justifying his price tag, you cannot ignore the effect that leaving Madrid has had on him."
You don't care at the moment if you make a loss but if that happens again and again it does become a problem. As you say in the second paragraph Utd have always brought through talent and then bought in 1 or 2 star players and to me this would be the sensible approach at the moment, continue spending and that slide can become a freefall and recovering even more difficult. At this point Utd have some talented players and some who are on the downslide. Is it worth sticking with the likes of Young, Di Maria and RVP or is it worth benching them and giving the likes of Janujaz, Wilson, Blackett more games? The formation also need to be sorted out LVG seems to want to cram in attacking players but loses any control of the game, it can be hard to drop star players but surely the balance of the team has to come first, beome hard to beat and work from there.
De gea by an absolute mile. Not that he will win it but hes by far the best and most consistent player in the league. Others have had periods of great form but non have been consistently great.
As bad as hes been at times hes still a creative machine. He does exactly what hes been bought for but hes clearly low on confidence. Chances are that he will create 3 or 4 chances a game every game, regardless of form. Thats why hes a world class player. His worst form still produces the goods.
Costa has been ****e for months as has Fabregas. Both started well but faded away. I do think Costa will hit form again. Cesc wont until August though.
He's had a world class season but the award givers are just glory hunters and would rather give it to a winner than someone who heroically drags their team into qualification for the Europa League
How can you say a keeper is the best player in the league? He may be the best keeper (up for debate) but I think keepers have to be looked at in a different bracket to actually footballers.
I like the way you've quickly moved on after the likes of Falcao, Herrera and Tia Maria have been average to woeful this season!! I think it's patently obvious it's almost impossible to judge the contributions of a keeper to that of say a striker, but then I think you know that but can't in good conscience say any United outfield players are best in the league...
