Bit harsh NZ but probably true - also 2.1s tend to be less academics and more in touch with the real world

lol time was, when i was younger, i'd go to bed around 2 every night and at the weekend have a major lie in. Now, i don't get the lie in...it's not as easy as it used to be, but i've always been a night owl, it's not easy to break lifetime habits, try as i might!

    Morning all

A grey and miserable one here. Mrs H and her sister-in-law set off for a walk 30 minutes ago and it's chucking it down now. Thinking about the best response when the drowned rats return home...laughter and 'I told you so' probably not top of the list :cheesy:

Maybe a subtle "oh did you get wet" or "how was the walk/weather?" But trying to keep a straight face will be the hard part

Hi guys sat in another departure lounge catching up with all the good news , Yorkie my sleep patterns are purely work driven ,depending on what shift and where!!! Operational requirement is king!!

Although maybe I used to spend too much time on here ,whilst the board was in its infancy! Have eased off a bit now as Mrs N was moaning about it!!!

    Hi all,

I just want to let everyone know that TFL are useless!!

Since starting my new job, I had to get a refund on my season ticket (no longer travelling into London). Got the ticket refunded on my last day at the old job (with receipt and everything!!). I was told because my old employer paid for it, they would receive the cheque. So that was it, I had nothing else to do. My old employer would receive the money, and everyone was happy.

I was informed the other day that my old employer still hadn't received any money (they are owed about £2500). Now, every time I call up TFL, there is an issue with their refund system which ultimately prevents them from processing or viewing refunds. Surprisingly, when I called up today, their refund system was down, so they couldn't help me!!!!! What they did tell me, however, is that there has been no claim for a refund!! Even though I have the receipt.

So, I have my old employer chasing me for £2500 (quite a lot of money for someone who has just got a mortgage, and has a wedding to pay for), and a company in TFL who are totally incompetent, dealing with my refund.

gawd, what a nightmare BBW :(...i hope you get it sorted soon.

I haven't get made it to the gym, the phone hasn't stopped, and neither has the doorbell. I really wish i hadn't let all my friends know that Friday was a regular day off, i never get any time! Meanwhile, i have booked my summer holiday! That's everyone sorted now, thankfully! Mr H was beginning to think he was going to be the only one not going anywhere this summer lol.

:) we're going on a cruise! Never done a cruise before, it sounds lovely :)...unfortunately Mr H has a meeting before we get back, so he'll have to leave us on route 4 days before the end unless he can wriggle out of it. But we start in Italy and then go to Greece and Israel and back to Italy. :) My girls haven't been to Israel before so i'm excited to show them a bit, before they go with the youth organisation for a month. The elder one does that next year :)
