I'd love to see the reception you would get if you spouted this nonsense idea in the pub and not on this board where I'm sure by now you've gathered a few mates who are too polite to tell you what you are saying is total brown. I'll bet managers and players do think of money once the whistle goes as they are all constantly jockeying for these crazy contracts that have been created by these TV deals worth over a billion pounds. These players/managers constantly have there eye on a move to a club who can offer them mega money or they will try to get their own contract renewed with a huge increase. In your game against Blackburn yesterday it was clear to see that Liverpool were by a considerable stretch the far superior team. The quality and amount of possession Liverpool had showed the vast difference between the two sides. Blackburn played with a rigid two banks of four and they were organised, gritty and determined. This is over the basis of 90 mins where Liverpool dominated and should have won the game but you could clearly see which team had had more money invested into it. Had Blackburn tried to emulate Liverpool in showcasing the finer points of the game ( which of course the better players are capable of because of bigger money which Liverpool had to spend on their squad as opposed to Blackburn) such as poise, technicality etc we could have seen a cricket score in favour of Pool. What benevolent force if not money do you believe thrusted Man City and Chelsea into going from mid table clubs into Premier League Champions and Champions league winners on top of many domestic cups ? Of course it's because they got the knack of the whole 11 v 11 as you suggest but they only reason they got this was because of the Billion odd pound spent on players, managers and entire new philosophies.
I agree with Astro on this one Tobes. That 4-0 win by MK Dons against United was nothing unusual just 11 v 11 men out on the pitch yet idiots on here claimed money spent or league position should have made a difference
Nonsesne. absolute garbage, and how am I sure, Tobes liked it. No surprise there Tobes is impressed cos he can't get too far into a post without resorting to a google image. Tobes will also know that people on here are quite happy to tell me I talk ****e The Blackburn manager didn't once think about money(player worth) during our game most likely not even for a second, you ****ing eejit. Only an idiot would be thinking of player transfer fees compared to his own player fees during an important match in which a team they manage is involved. You are an idiot, or extremely dim. Care to explain which?
You know what he meant, he wasn't saying the quality of players doesn't matter he was saying that when the game kicks off all players on the pitch are playing(hopefully)to the best of their ability not based on their worth in the transfer market or the size of their wage packet.
Paraphrasing, you are too eager to agree with someone when you haven't even read anything, what who paid what for who doesn't matter to all concerned on matchday when that whistle goes. There is a job to be done, that's not the time to be lamenting the difference between fees of players or cost of squads Are you telling me you think of transfer fees when you play Chelsea, like when the game is actually being played? More to the point, did this money fellow score the winner for us v Blackburn, blackburn didn't have money cos they couldn't afford him, we signed him and did it matter? Nope, why, cos Blackburn didn't feel sorry for themselves because they have no 30 mil players, they focused on the job, football and that's all anyone focuses on during a match, you ****tard
Not saying he did. However he set his team up the way they did because he knew Liverpool had far superior players which ( and despite your views which have been rightly ridiculed ) is not down to coincidence but the vast differences in money spent. Only an idiot wouldn't consider the quality and caliber of player (that as I have previously mentioned stems from some sort of investment) compared to the quality his own clubs investment has translated onto the pitch. You are saying what is spent contributing to what is on a football pitch is irrelevant once the human element kicks into play and that any fees spent on players are just arbitrary and don't mean anything " spent shment". You have rightly been made into a laughing stock for this. "You are an idiot, or extremely dim. Care to explain which?" Very self righteous coming from a man who believes that money has no influence on the world's most popular and mainstream sport "
Saved me the bother of typing it mate, well done. He's dug himself into a pit that as well as being completely ****ing ridiculous, also totally contradicts the stance he's taken in the past and he's now desperately trying to clamber his way out....... No doubt he'll continue digging when he reads your post
