Ladcrooks going 3/1 Douvan & Evens Annie Power from 9 in morning. Doubt they'll lay many bananas at those odds????? Good Luck One & All
I actually have! 1:45 - Dye of a Needle 2:55 - Amethyst Rose 3:35 - A Little Bit Dusty 4:55 - Zazamix All have a definite EW chance at the least
A few small bets for tomorrow 1.30 Shaneshill 12-1 EW 2.05 Sail by the Sea 66-1 EW 4.40 The Job Is Right 10-1 win 5.15 Keltus 10-1 win (Nap) Other race fancies but no betting 2.40 Barakilla 12-1 3.20 Faugheen 4.00 Annie Power Good luck all
Really starting to like the chances of Court Minstrel in the Arkle. Just so hard to put a marker on Un De Sceaux - he COULD fall couldn't he?
Anything can happen in that race Badger. The Fly hasn't liked good to soft, good in places in the past. Is there a pace angle? I can't see one apart from Ruby setting the fractions himself. That would pose problems for Jezki and the New One. Faugheen and the New One have jumping question marks. Faugheen has never been tested against the big boys. I think he'll win but it certainly wouldn't put me off backing one at a price. Basically, everything in the race, including the front four in the market, have questions to answer and Arctic Fire could quite possibly be a horse to squeeze into the frame and could even win. He's not too far behind them on this years Irish races and is one of only two or three in the race who could be improving.
Apart from his chase debut, what have people seen in Un De Sceaux's jumping to continuously say he could fall? I've watched everything he's done and he looks perfectly good to me. Certainly no worse than 90% of the Arkle field. You could argue his races at Auteuil over the French hurdles give him added experience most of this field lack. I'd like to see him handle the preliminaries well. If he does that he's got just the same chance of falling as everything else.
Just statistics Bob - has fallen in 33% of the chases he has run in. I wasn't wanting to crab his jumping, just saying that is the most likely scenario for him to get beat - that he falls. It is the Arkle after all
Cheers Bob, it's a bugger of a race to bet in i was just curious on your reasoning, appreciate the response
Statistics from a sample of 3 As Bob says, keeping a lid on him before the race starts is the most important thing for his backers. If he does lose the plot he might be more likely to hit one and his chances of getting up the hill at more than a walk wouldnt look good.
Day one is finally here.not going in to deep from a betting perspective as i think there are better oppertunities during the week.here are my arrows for tomorrow -1.30-This year’s supreme novices hurdle is one of the weakest I’ve seen in years and there are question marks against all the runner including Douvan. The Irish will be backing this fella off the boards like there will be tomorrow but this bouyo won’t be following suit. Let’s be honest Douvan could be absolutely exceptional and canter but his price is reflected more on reputation than form. He beat sizing John by 12 lengths off the bridle but has never been threatened in graded company, never raced on good ground, and beaten stayers in small fields.L’emi serge represents a trainer with a terrific record in this race even though he has hot the bar the last few years .He stuffed both Violet Dancer and Kilcooley at newbury and look what they have done since. He has by far the best form in the race and has a great chance if things fall right for him. Even though Alvilsio Ville finished third in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle that race has produced a few winners of the supreme so is a good yard stick. The horse apparently put in a good piece of work last week so should be spot on for this and can make the frame at a nice price.i'll be backing LS to land the spoils and AV at a nice ew price 2.05 All about Un De Sceaux,if the fences don’t down him he wins. Gave a decent horse in the form of Clarcam and absolute spanking Lto. The only negative you can give UDS is he has never raced on good ground and has fallen once before but I’m willing the look past both these stats as he is just so impressive the way he just bowls along and blows the opposition who don’t seem to be in the same league. Nicholls hasn’t had a winner over fences since Kaouto Star so that puts me off backing Vibrator Valtat even though he was impressive wining the Kingmaker at Warwick. I will be backing Smashing at 25/1 as a ew saver.l'll be backing UDS & double him up with Annie Power. 2.40-Ah here we go, bookies benefit time, someone give me a dart please. Alan King has won this race twice before and is very sweet on Ned Stark. He won a grade two at Wetherby recently so is coming into the race in decent form and will appreciate the good ground. I also think Monbeg Dude is interesting on good ground, has course form and Carberry on board.EW country here folks. 3.20Faugheen is unbeaten after eight races and was super impressive winning at both ascot and Kempton this season. In wasn’t impressed by the new one’s jumping at Haydock even though it was on very bad ground. Even though he has the gears I don’t like his hurdling technique and I think this will be his achilles heel in this race. The fly has beaten Jezski twice this season but that has been on soft ground and he can turn the tables here. This is going to be a fantastic spectacle and I think it will be Faugheen and Jezski fighting out up the hill at the last fence. Verdict: Faugheen/ Jezski reverse forecast. 4.00-Annie Power is a stone clear of her rivals and even though she has been off the track since May I fully expect Willie Mullins to have her spot on for this. Pollypeachum appeals at ew prices 4.40-Sego Sucess was impressive winning a classy novice chase at warwick in January, should improve for the extra mile.Trainer Alan king trained the winner last year. 5.15-very tricky race to solve but i really like the way generous ransom has gone about his business this season so will carry my hard earned. Also think stellar notion was given a light race last time and represents a decent ew price at 16s
Bet it'll be something silly like £25 max per customer. There's no way they'll take a proper bet at those odds
I agree he jumps perfectly fine to me, looked good in the Irish Arkle. His fall on his debut is out of his system after 2 good runs. He's always out infront anyways, so he'll get a clear sight of his fences so I'd expect him to put in a good performance tomorrow. I'm certainly not going to be put off backing, already drifting out to 8/11, which is a backable price for a horse as good as him.
1.30 Jollyallan 2.05 Vibrato Valtat 2.40 THEATRE GUIDE Nap 3.20 Jezki 4.00 Glens Melody 4.40 Doing Fine 5.15 Irish Cavalier That my tuppence worth good luck everyone.
Timeform are spot on Ron, it will be a walk in the park for Faugheen tomorrow. Jezki barely got up the hill last year, and The New One has no gears. Whilst HFs days as a Champion Hurdle contender are long gone. It will be a very easy victory for Faugheen, I can't see anything else
