The injury Georgie suffered a week ago has been diagnosed as a rupture to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). He underwent surgery at the weekend and will now be out for 4 to 6 months.

This is not only a horrible injury but horrible news for the lad. Dependent on how well his recovery goes it could hamper his knee movement and obviously the turn of speed that is his ’hallmark’. Still, fingers crossed - it’s not all that uncommon an injury and others have come through it. Think that was what Walcott had and while he’s not yet back to being an Arsenal regular, he seems to be all okay.

The only positive is that he's young, these injuries are a lot worse further on in your career. Horrible news though.

Indeed - isn't this what Grygera suffered, putting an end to his career?
