Had a good seat for the match (see below), but it wasn't a very well-played match. Last year's ROY, Akindele, looked lost most of the time and I'm surprised he wasn't substituted. Exciting finish as good ol' reliable Blas scored game winner in stoppage time. Lots of new players for each side. I expect better from Dallas. They dropped the "Wizards" bit but kept the lousy "City" name? Are they crazy? Mr Allam it seems could teach even the Americans something about marketing.
The great thing about North America is its relatively young history (from the. European invader, murderer, land-thief and treaty betrayer point of view). Consequently, links to traditional values and names regarding teams etc. from the "old world" are important in the MLS. Hence in North America, soccer teams choose names like City and add Football Club to establish their credibility and yet Assam (be praised) rejects the established and recognized name in favour of a false god. Is MLS actually worth watching now then? Am looking for a team to support and have it down to the two Canadian teams, I saw Altidore scored a panenka the other day, amazing he can do that but not manage to score goals in open play in a hundred hours over here

What do you want out of it? That's really the key question. If you want to watch and don't care about the quality it's perfectly fine. If you are going to get upset if they can't string passes together and you will inevitably compare the league to the PL you might want to avoid it. I watch at least a few MLS games a week and all SJs games. It's fine to watch as long as you are ok with watching poor quality football.

They are alright. They have made the playoffs 2 out of the 4 years they have been in the league. They have never been contenders for the supporters shield (what would be the title in the PL for instance, its given to the team with the best record).
