He definitely hasn't been charged with anything or it hasn't been announced or made public knowledge? To be honest I haven't got the foggiest as it all seems to have gone hush hush.. I'm still hoping that all allegations will be withdrawn as they are without foundation, but that is just my wish rather than anything else..

The police have said nowt. Johnson has said nowt. The club have said nowt.. The press and the public have had loads to say without knowing any real facts..
I'm reading it right. What you actually said was, "the police think they've got good cause to take it further." You're either wrong or using the wrong tense. Whatever the case there's no proof that the police believe they have any cause to proceed. You seem to be agreeing with me.
