Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers on BBC Radio 5 live: "Martin Skrtel is fine. He could have played on but you have to listen to the medical team and the experts and he is fine in the changing room. He fell heavily so there was a feeling he could have been knocked out or concussed but I'll leave that to the medical experts. "Our objective this week was to get four points out of six in the league and get into next round of the FA Cup. We got six points out of six and although we are not through to the next round, we are still in the draw."
He's offside when Studge heads it prior to the handball Yes, we should have had a penalty for the Lallana foul but at the end of the day, we should be beating Blackburn with referee decisions being a factor.
Agree with this...but (and this will leave me feeling a little dirty) Liverpool aren't Arsenal in Europe. And you were equally ****e up to the last group game the last time you won it.
If he were a Man Utd or Spurs player he would have been deemed not interefering and then the handball would be considered the second phase of play
They were worth their draw, yes we ould have been better but that doesn't mean score, Studge was blocked every time almost, credit where its due
Surely it's about building. Winning the FA Cup this season is great short term but getting top four for a second season running would be better in the long term assuming we make the right decisions off field. I'd rather do both tbh
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers: "It's been difficult here against Championship teams, Blackburn deserve credit. But my players also deserve credit, they were missing sharpness but they kept going and tried to create chances. "It wasn't to be but we will look to get into the semi-final when we play away. When you have that many bodies behind the ball it's difficult. I thought we should have had a penalty on Adam Lallana and if you get a goal in the first 20 minutes it opens the game up." "We kept a clean sheet and still have big confidence. We just lacked that final ball. "We don't play until next Monday and that gives us a chance to prepare well. They put so much into the game but couldn't find the breakthrough."
Please state if this is a BBC report also so I can fully examine any anti-livpl twisting of the fakhts
Bar the Lallana decision, I actually thought the referee had a good game. Blackburn defended well. and we just weren't good enough.
