That's some statement considering QPR left gaps all over the pitch for us to exploit. Townsend had plenty of space, the Rangers back line was awful both individually and as a group and their midfield was by passed by our quick and slick pass and move. Yes, Charlie rattled the woodwork and unsettled our CD's in the early stages, and yes, we did get the benefit of some 50/50 decisions, but overall and with all things considered, we were the better side by a distance.

    Him or de Gea.

And you could toss a coin for who spares the most blushes.

Urgh, has Phil Neville always done that whispering loudly voice when commentating, or is it part of his idea to make himself less dull? Either way just stop it, it's awful.

I get what they're saying with the Isla one but I can't say I sympathise with him, it was no more than a tap and he acted like Lloris sawed his foot off. As for the handball, never in a million years. It's kicked at him from such close range that he doesn't stand a chance. "Unnatural position" my arse, anyone that gets a ball kicked towards their head/body and keeps their arms straight by their side is a freak. You're allowed to have arms and players can't waddle around the pitch with their arms by their side like penguins all game so it surely can't be a foul to have it kicked at your arm from a yard away.

I'd like to think when you next play a top four side and get given absolutely nothing by the officials all day you'll look back to yesterday and laugh it off. The major decisions were covered by MotD but the sheer number of soft fouls given to Spurs every time a QPR player breathed was scandalous.

You committed 15 fouls and we had 12... but the ref was just picking on you guys, right?

We get absolutely nothing from officials in the big games already, thanks <ok>

If you were to analyse those 15 fouls I'd wager half of them are your defence and midfield falling over under little and often no contact.

Not saying he was picking on our players, just it was a very typical case of almost every marginal, and some not so marginal, call going the way of the big side.

Whilst Bentaleb was committing his "handball" he was was being kicked in the ribs. The commentators and Neville didn't mention that of course. I also think that Isla moved his leg towards Lloris Pires-style to try to get a penalty.

It's easier to win a foul when you're a defending player, always has been the case. I do agree though, there were a number of soft fouls that went to both sides and a number of perplexing decisions in general. It was far from all benefiting us though, you're just saying that becuase you pay more attention when you feel QPR are wronged.

A tad condescending. I'm genuinely struggling to think of anything marginal we got all day. Walker, Dier and Vertonghen only had to glance at the referee when Zamora was within five yards of them to get a free kick and had free reign to pull him all over the place. I don't think one major call went our way including as clear a handball as you will see all season.

Even in the first minute a goal kick was given when Lloris palmed the ball over the bar. That was just bizarre.

His hands clearly go up to block the foot that it flying towards his face, before he knows where the ball is going.
It's ball to head. I don't understand what he's supposed to do in that situation, headbutt the studs?

Yes. If you put your head in there you expect to get hurt. It's defending. It doesn't give you permission to have your hands up and block the pissing ball.

See this is why I say you're picking and choosing. You said earlier that the major decisions were covered on MOTD yet Phil Neville in that analysis said that it was very difficult for the referee to see it. You're just hearing one person saying it should be a penalty and ignoring all the mitigating factors to present it as a blatant penalty and the ref being biased in not giving it.

If you want precedent you only have to look through how handballs have been treated all season, a shot taken at pace and handled in very close quarters has generally not been given, especially when it strikes him so close to the body.

Believe it all went against you because we're the bigger club if you want but don't expect us to nod along and agree.

That's nonsense. His hand was covering his face, it wasn't going to change the destination of the ball, either way that shot was being blocked, Bentaleb done what every human on the planet would do when an in-form striker is about to volley a shot from close range in the direction of your face. If his hand was outstretched from his body I could understand the moaning but it's such a shallow thing to complain about when a hand is simply protecting an area of the body that quite frankly no one wants to get hit full pelt in.

We had about two or three of those goal kick calls given against us too and there was a throw-in that should have gone our way, I think it was Phillips and Davies where Davies cleared off of Phillip's leg, Phillips even threw Davies the ball and somehow the ref/ lino gives it to QPR after we've taken it, so don't worry, Pawson was equally as **** for us as he was for you in the wrong call department.

Was a good game yesterday, QPR are probably gutted they didn't leave with a point as they had some good chances and Lloris yet again kept us in it with some good saves. Our defence obviously hadn't realised the game kicked off as they were all sleeping when QPR had that header loop onto the bar 30 seconds in. Austin should have put them ahead when he was through on goal, quite surprised he pelted it, I would've gone for placement. Kane showed great determination and bravery to win that header for our first as Green came out with both fists outstretched, we had a stroke of luck starting on the side the we did in the first half as the sun was clearly affecting judgement for some of the QPR players, we should have taken more advantage of this in all fairness but the one goal was good enough. 2nd half I thought we livened up more, thought Eriksen's long range shot was going in but the post had different ideas, then Austin made a goal-line block that any of the best CB's in the world would have been proud of, let alone a CF so fair play to him for working back. Good through ball from Mason - who I think was our MOTM, good industrious display - and with the form Kane is in we knew we were 2-0 up before he rounded Green, found it funny that he ushered Chadli away, not sure if he thought Nacer was offside or that he was just being greedy but it was pretty comical to see. Typical of another former player to score against us this season, that's Livermore, Gylfi and now Sandro.

Great three points, two back to back wins after the cup final defeat and Europa exit is just what we needed. Big game now against Utd, hoping we make it three in a row up there!
