Are we talking about the ER pitch for the Watford game, or today's pitch in Wigan in the wrong thread?
ooooooooooooooooo Chippy, you said "with all due respects", are you softening your approach... Totally agree about Redders, he tries to talk everything up when, realistically he's trying to talk himself up using smoke screens. Our midfield are not strong enough for a promotion winning team, they make too many mistakes and leave too many open spaces for the opposition to set up camp and make a cuppa char. In all honesty, can anyone think back to the last time we put on a brilliant performance where we actually dominated an opposing team and looked like promotion material? Some may say the Reading game, but we only went up 1 notch imo for that game. Last brilliant performance for me was the Sunderland game, where 8 Cellino signings were involved with 7 starting. No Cook, Mowatt or Byram in midfield and we dominated the midfield for best part of match against a prem team. Before that it was the Derby 2-0 win, with 7 Cellino signings starting. Blackpool 3-1 win with 6 Cellino signings. Since the Sunderland game we've scraped our wins with a lot of luck, not promotion performances imo; we should be looking to increase our performances now in readiness for next season, but it doesn't seem to be happening, well, only in Redders mind it is. Redders does not have the ability or know how to improve and take our players to the next 2 levels. Do me a favour, throw Trifles, I love Trifle.....
Yes Let the first amongst us without nobbishness cast the first stone, or something I was drunk celebrating Millwalls relegation at the time, don't take it personally
That's ok. You meant WJ...... That saves some unpleasantness. Never blame nobibishness on drink. You don't need an excuse.
Morning all. LL I see you've reverted to type. Not sue why you stay on this board. It's one thing to have different opinions. It's another to type uninformed rubbish. It has taken Redders a while to sort things out, & yes we'll have bad days as well as good. But to suggest Redders doesn't have the know how or ability to take the team forward suggests you'd be better off with the WUMs on JA.
Well Boggers, no malice (chippy will hate that..) Firstly, if you're going to resort to those type of replies then don't bother replying to my comments, your type of replies are not welcome. Secondly, I don't go on ja606 much any more because of the crap and abuse that goes on. Thirdly, I'm entitled to my opinion and I don't need the likes of you trying to tell me what to do cos you disagree with my opinion, feel free to disagree and debate, which is why I like this forum; but if you want to tell people what to write, that's aligned with your own opinion, may I suggest you'd be better off on ja606 yourself where you could argue to your hearts content. Fourthly, if you read comments on this forum, you'll find I share certain opinions with some others. Fifthly, and most important, may I suggest you read the forum rules.
To be fair to LL, he's right about our performances: we're winning games, but we're hardly blowing anyone away. I don't agree with his assessment with our last good performances though - Blackpool we were good for the first half against a side that literally looked like they were conference standard, Derby we did play well but rode our luck (certainly not much better than the Reading performance) and the Sunderland game we matched them in the second half but they were playing a weakened side. Don't think any performance was particularly impressive. I don't recall us playing really well over the course of an entire game all season, to be honest, but we're winning games and that's the main thing Oh and by the way LL, by my reckoning 5 Cellino signings started yesterday, with 7 featured in total. That's the same number that featured against both Derby and Blackpool...
Hey'up Kiwi, I don't have a problem with debate, what I have a problem with is him telling me what to do because my opinion differs from his. I don't do it to others, I understand and respect their opinions and views. Abusive comments are ripe on ja606 because some believe you have to align yourself with their comments and opinions, this forum is much better in that people debate and throw in a sense of humour and good banter, much more fun and interesting that way.
To be fair I don't agree with Boggers glass half full approach, but he wasn't exactly ripping your arms off....
... You know me chippy, I don't like going to them lengths, much better explaining in a civilised manner....
