Just watched the Whitecaps vs Toronto. 1-3 in favour of TO and Altidonkey scored two including a penalty. Too bad. As a western Canadian, I was sort of cheering for the Whitecaps.
Sounds better than the game I am watching. The first half just ended. Hopefully its just rust being the first game and all because its been years since I have seen 2 mls teams play this badly.
It wasn't too bad - nice goals. Vancouver started well but TO grew into it. I hope your second half is better and there's always the option of a glass of cheer. Incidentally, elle, are you in wine country?
Yea there are lots of wineries around me but the area isn't as famous as Napa valley. Nothing as fancy as wine for me tonight I got a couple cases of PBR on sale so I'm going for the typical frat boy evening of to much **** beer and sports. I have a few grape vines but they are table grapes the girl said I wasn't classy enough to grow wine grapes, she is probably right.
I have to go to some antique fair tomorrow. At least you had some goals I'm not sure there has been more than a couple shots on goal this game.
Yea, that and a handle for a door into a goat paddock that I buit this week. please log in to view this image
I hope the antiques fair is more exciting than your SJ v Dallas game. To be honest, the Vancouver v TO game wasn't too bad. I watched the Bradford v Reading FA Cup game (on and off) yesterday and there wasn't too much football played but the state of the pitch was bloody awful. Reminded me of the pastures and bogs we played on in the sixties. On one occasion, a Reading player was about to cross and the ball jumped about 6 or 8 inches in the air came off his shin and into the stand.
It was bad. It should get better a couple starters were on the benc recovering from injuries but it truly was a poor game. They were playing long ball I guess but Wondo isn't a hold up man he is short, so I don't know what they were trying to do. I can't even remember Wondo having a shot and the man scores every other game. The coach really screwed up with that game plan, they needed to keep the ball on the ground and cross it into the box so Wondo had a chance at his bread and butter. If he had just a couple opportunities he would have scored.
Team members for Orlando this evening... Kaka (who's just scored a good Free Kick) and... Sean St Ledger. Polar opposites in footballing super-stardom.
