Trouble is, it will be one hell of a rebuild considering we won't have Austin, Vargas, Isla, Fer, Taarabt or Zarate.
We haven't had Taarabt in any meaningful sense for three years. His loss will make precisely zero difference.
We've just got to accept we are not good enough, it's hard watching them week in week out getting beat & playing the way we are, at least if we go down we see us win matches & with a new youthful & exciting side hopefully, but we are still alive just so there is still hope.
I suspect CR thoughts against Arsenal and Spurs have been that we just didn't have the quality available to outplay them, so play compact and get the ball into their box as directly as possible for Austin and OBZ, who can be a handfull for anyone. At half time here on Thailand TV they just replayed the goal chancea over and over again - they only had their first goal but there were 5 or 6 for us. Yet I had felt Spurs had totally outplayed us 1st half.I don't like the way we are playing but CR knows a billion better than me. I hope against weaker opposition and maybe with Adel back he'll vary our attack a bit more.
I think people are forgetting where we were just pretending under Harold to be a team I see tactics to win football matches and not worried if we go down because we are looking a lot better at equalling teams Under Ramsey we are in matches now Don't confuse your own fear with the actual performances we are putting in ... We are close and it will come I bet many think we could of got thrashed both games This is fear talking we are looking good and we are growing
I have heard today from a very reliable person that Taarabt has not been turning up for training and has no interest in playing for us. This therefore rules him out of any future fixtures. He is apparently happy to run his contract out and pick up his wages in the meantime. His groin injury is an excuse used by the management to cover for this. Also there is still a problem with Vargas and Zarate behind the scenes, they don't get on and this is affecting the team spirit, and that's the reason why we had such an horrific bench today. Only at Ranger's eh?
If what you say is true Nines (the bit about Vargas & Zarate, not the other bit because that's as obvious as a smack in the face) then Redknapp is an ever bigger fu*kwit than I thought. It was widely known that these two hated each other but he went ahead and brought the West Ham lad in anyway. Very sad
If Redknapp gets back into management next year, expect to see him try to get Jonny Evans and Papiss Cisse on loan...
I wouldn't be surprised if that's why Harry's knee suddenly imploded. Once again an internal malaise scuppers our season, I really don't see any way out for us now...
if he is not turning up for training fine him more than he earns vargas not liking Zarate ..is that why we tried to send him back to west ham
Sadly, totally believable. Though how two South Americans bickering in Spanish affects the rest of them beyond Isla and Faurlin if he's still around is beyond me. Send Zarate back to West Ham, cancel Taarabt's contract and ****ing get on with it. The number of players who have dicked this club about over the past few years is truly unbelievable, and it can only be because the club's leadership is perceived as being weak. They are not professionals, they are spoilt kids.
It's also the reason why Redknapp tried to return Zarate from his loan, and yet f**ked it up so royally by not knowing the rules. This is the reason why Redknapp had to walk and was given the option of doing so. This is also why Vargas hasn't featured in Ramsey's plans which has bemused many of us.
You are of course, you're 100% correct sb, and it's also why I'm seriously considering buying a Rugby season ticket instead of a football one next year. Did you see how those Tottenham softies kept throwing themselves to the floor at every opportunity that presented itself and the ref buying it? If that's what football has become then it can go f**k itself.
Roller was putting me under pressure regarding next season today. If we are in the Championship I certainly won't, I don't need 23 trips up and down the M40 when I can get a membership and pick and choose. If we are in the Prem (afraid I can't see it). I'd like to know who the manager will be and who we have playing for us before I shell out, but of course the fans don't get that luxury. I'm probably going to give it a miss, see a few Wasps matches now they are just up the road and take a couple of trips to see some German football, drink beer and eat sausage. Just seen the extended highlights on MOTD, Phil Neville thought it was 'a brilliant game'. Clearly I know nothing about football. Two more pathetic goals to concede.
Agree, I'd play Hill & Ned as our centre back pairing. For those that think Hill is too old, just remember Nelsen & Dunne from recent times.
