Cheers Beth. Both listed as all clear southbound at the moment, but that means nothing for the A40. I still have time for a leisurely brunch before setting off......sausages and scrambled eggs are called for. And a few espressos.
We're hoping to get parked and have a look around the shops. The lad has some money to spend apparently. Then a long relaxing lunch. After the manic journey Wednesday night, I'm aiming for a chilled journey there. Mind you, as Beth says, who knows what the A40 may throw at us? See you later.
What Mourinho does is to send out some of the best players in the world onto the pitch. These players know when and where to speed up the play in possession. That is it really. 4-4-2 is a basic set up that all players understand. If this is working; ie our wide men are getting the best of their full backs then you leave it alone. If you start to get overrun in the middle you go 4-5-1 end of. The other posters are right though, does not matter what system you play if the players are not good enough. I too am going to the game today and hope that our defenders keep the ball in front of them, that our midfield pass the ball and our forwards get their shots on target. If they do we will win.
I think someone's having difficulty reading Tell me about it. Next thing you know I'll be thinking Matty Phillips is useless and Junior Toilet is a good player!!
I'm struggling to think of any player Pocchetino would want in his squad. Our basic problem is that against a lot of these teams our players, no matter how hard they try (and they are trying) are second best. Not much we can do about that. But against some of the teams we have yet to play we do have a chance.
i didn't think he was too bad at all but he doesn't half get pushed off the ball easily for a big bloke. His touch isn't great either. Still..thought he was alright.
He was played on the left again. HE CAN'T PLAY THERE because he hasn't got the pace or skill to cut inside.
