That's your depression at how sh*t we are currently that's talking mate. Not to be confused with a fondness for the division below us. The only thing is we win more games down there. If we had a decent PL team I doubt you'd care two bob bits about that league brother. Thank you for your diagnosis. To whom will I make out the cheque? Dr Phil???
It's funny how you only answer with a snide comment instead of actually addressing the perfectly sound arguments I made against your accusation about me only liking previous lower league seasons as a way of curbing my disappointment. I actually won't be that disappointed if we get relegated this time, because we're actually playing well and trying. And that's the exact point I'm making... I'd rather watch a hard working QPR team with a proper philosophy and pride in any league than a drab, directionless EPL circus act. I would also prefer that good kind of QPR to a QPR that becomes like Man City and Chelsea, as I've already said. I want QPR to have success, but not at great costs to the club heart. I want a team to be proud of watching. End of. If you disagree with that, then we can agree to disagree. But I think you're a bit silly for having a foolish pop at someone like me who has gone to see QPR week in week out for many a year for wanting a more honest setup at the club and for wanting the English divisions to be cleaned up and made more fair and uncorrupted.
Its route one, seriously lacking in talent, full of hackers and hatchet men and only occasionally does a game of football break out. Oh and there's bugger all media coverage of it where I am
Route one seems to be our preferred style (still) so we'll be right at home. All the bollocks of the Premier League is present lower down, just smaller scale. But you get to see better players in the Prem. Kane was very good today, there is much more to his game than scoring goals. And the football is truly **** lower down. When/if we get relegated our only ambition will be to get back again anyway.
Jim Jimminey Jim Jim, the only thing perfectly sound about you is the medication you're supposed to be taking. Go have a lie down you lunatic
We have to play a little route one against the talented team. I am certain that we will play different against the Palace I like the team currently and just because we aren't winning we are playing OK and not getting thrashed The fickle should look at the results afterall that's all they do and consider them too close games. We had chances to win it today as we did Wednesday ... we are already closer on those margins than we think and that is against two very dangerous teams ... Close to getting a point with 10 men at Hull brilliant at Sunderland and nearly held the Saints If you can't see teh change, then wake up
You're currently spouting the theory of Charles Hughes, that dinosaur who worshipped hoofball and indoctrinated all coaches through his position in the FA. It's taken decades for his theory to be rubbished. Your French kindred spirits would be choking on their Gauloises reading your rubbish...
I dont hate the Premier league i actually like reading about us seeing us on TV and listening about QPR on the radio, something that teams don't get in the Championship (which is a poor division). What i don't like about the Premier league is the consistent sh@te refs that seem to grace LR every other week. The bloke today (and linesman) should be demoted for being incompetent. They were shocking. However The only person to blame for the mess we are in is Harry Redknapp. This is his team of crocks and the reason we are where we are is because of him. That is why people are not enjoying the Prem because once again the club has gone the wrong way about things and what QPR is about. The sooner we get rid of the cr@p that Redknapp brought in the better. Once again its been a complete disaster.
You're right, Paul. It'll all start coming together in the 39th league fixture of the season, I reckon.
Most of the things I dislike about the PL have been mentioned. 1. The bigger clubs are given preferential treatment regarding decisions. 2. The cost of tickets, especially category A matches. Man United cost me £68, Arsenal £55 and Tottenham £50, add on £3.50 booking fees and the exchange rate to the euro and we are talking considerable sums of money in Euros. 3. I dislike the way away fans are charged more than home fans to see matches. I got charged £46 to sit in a corner at Old Trafford and other family members only paid £35 to sit in really good seats behind the goal in the United end. After getting stuffed 4-0, you come out feeling robbed. 4. The TV companies have the power to change dates of matches at very short notice which can cost the fans hundreds in making alternative travel arrangements. Summary, much prefer the Championship mainly for financial reasons.
Agree. I've had little enjoyment out of this season so far. If we go down, well, we go down. But if we go down with Burnley and Leicester that will depress me because the established Prem teams are becoming teflon and the huge amounts of increased cash coming in will entrench them further. Just how long would a Brentford or a Bournemouth last if they succeeded in going up?
Interesting point, but Palace look like their gonna survive again, and their team has alot of the players they had when they were in the Championship! It's all about continuity and not frittering away what money you do have on useless or past it players,or paying ludicrous wages.Burnley have a squad which cost a pittance, but they've given it a right go this season!Bournmouth and Brentford have two managers who I rate highly, and although they don't have huge financial clout, with shrewd signings I'm sure they would give a decent account of themselves!
A Bournemouth or a Brentford have no right to expect to survive in the Premier League. They're small little Clubs, why should they expect to dine at the top table with ease? Sure they can try but their natural positions size-wise aren't even in the Championship, let alone the Prem. Its time to get real here Goldie
Pulis strengthened Palace when they were wobbling last season. Now they're entrenching. I'd love to be wrong, but I think increasingly those that go up will come down the same season.
Bournemouth have seriously wealthy backers who will spend to improve an already excellent footballing side if they go up. They may be size-wise a League One club but on the pitch they will be competitive. They may well be good enough to survive and surprise a lot of the established clubs, I wouldn't fancy our chances against them at present...
How long did Derby stay up last time they were promoted? I could see certain clubs, including ours, using parachute payments to get in sufficient quality (the likes of Austin, Fer) to shuttlecock backwards and forwards between the Championship and the Prem. And the established Prem side having the know-how and resources to avoid the drop. I may be wrong, but if I'm right, how dull would that be?
The only way the gap may be partially closed is if a Premier League 2 is introduced which would funnel some of the obscene money from the top tier to the second level. It would produce healthier competition but I sense the big clubs would rather have teeth pulled than share their trough...
The two players mentioned (Austin and Fer) will be the first out the door in the event that we go down. There is no way either will drop back to the Championship with us. I would say the vultures are already circling.
