Unshackle the Ipswich2....

Perhaps the only way you would understand is if the Town board suffered an invasion on a near daily basis, regurgitating the same old crap, and when asked to move along, protest their innocence, becoming increasingly annoying and antagonizing. An unlikely scenario as so few people care about Ipswich, outside of your fan base.

You cannot tell that would not happen, because it has happened in the past. A good few of Town fans don't want to see us on nearly every thread - whatever the topic.

 

Thai I really don't know what's said on a weekly basis but you will certainly see myself on your board very fleetingly.

* Start of season to see how you will get along/ thoughts.

I actually don't understand why so many " fans " are like this. Really embarrassing!

And if you look I bet that there is more about Ipswich on here than tother way round...............if your gonna take the piss you have to expect that it be responded to with piss taking back...

 

Not this week, quite surprising considering the victory on Sunday. Town will inevitably get a mention as they are still in the promotion race, and might be laughed about when they are not, but none of those threads will fall in to a battle, and there's the difference.

 

All that tells me is that you can give but not take.......which goes back to 'our Board Brigade' so was the Ban just so you could avoid any comeback

Well we have been having an argument for a while but that's not a issue or a problem imo....I don't think I've been offensive, when two people disagree that is an argument.....

All I am saying is IMO these forum are open for everyone and so long as they are not truly offensive should be allowed to use the forums .....and I also think that if you take the piss your should leave open an avenue for a response.

 

Mr Plum, you've, perhaps inadvertently hit on the crux of the matter with your post. MalteseMick, the site owner set up the site as an alternative to BBC 606, which was moderated to death, he set up moderators for each active site with the idea that each board had their own level of moderation and when you visit a different board from your own, you play by their rules, not your home board rules!

It's a bit like peddling drugs! If you're caught in England, you'll get a smack, (pun intended) but if you're caught in The Philippines you'll get the death sentence!

Totally agree with that ...and those rules should be applied to all in the same manner imo....not saying that they don't on here...........I suppose it's all down to the fact that if there is some 'banter'(hate that word) then it will come back but possibly at a 'higher intensity' but once the ball starts rolling when do you say it's moving to fast??

 

Well that would be a question for both sides to deal with........But as I've said if you want to keep it free of any piss taking that's easy just state that it's unacceptable and judge accordingly but it has to be for regulars and visitors alike ...yes.

 

Thereby hangs a tale. There is no real definition of "banter" except it should be funny, gentle micky-taking and never ever personally abusive, for someone to "hope that **** gets cancer and dies" is definitely NOT banter, but I have witnessed it!

We usually know when we are going to get attacked with a load of banter, and to be fair, we pretty much all accept it.

 

Yeah that kind of thing is the sort of totally unacceptable thing to being saying whomever it's targeted at......

 

For the sake of argument/discussion - do you accept that such a remark was considered to be banter by the person that posted it? (and still well within their definition of the word)
