Might have forced Mikes hand, he might have no option but to just concentrate on Newcastle now. I am expecting a new manager and a 100m war chest in the summer just out of spite to rangers, a kind of "this is what you could have had" type of scenario

Or he'll eye up someone else purely out of spite. Celtic for example.

Ashley is a spiteful man and will not be happy, watch him make Rangers life as difficult as he can now.

Wouldn't be hard. He could ask them to repay the loan, for instance - - probably have them wound up if it comes to that.

He won't because he isn't as spiteful as all that and because they are valuable to him even if he doesn't have control

Time will tell I guess but I could see him doing something along these line or adding an interest rate to the loan, waiting till they have no players and recall our loan players etc. This won't be the end of the matter that's for sure

Would be hard for them to whine if he did. I mean, it would be just saying: "I understand you don't want me around, which is fine. Please give me back my money and my players and I'll be on my way."

Well they certainly wouldn't be missing much in giving the players back, they've been injured since day one and only Vukic has played.

I think I ead somewhere recently that they need to draw down the remaining £5m of the loan "Sports Direct" recently gave them. Part of the condition of this draw down is that Ashley can appoint a futher 2 directors to the board.

Things may be slightly different now with this King fella in charge and they may not need the money but that's the last I'd read and heard from a Rangers fan at work here who has been keeping a close eye on things.

He'll have summit up his sleeve that's for sure...he's one smart cookie (in a purely business sense of course)!

Whatever happens you can guarantee that Ashley wont be out of pocket.
The wily git has even managed to get his two cronies a nice little earner for doing virtually nothing in there time at the club.

His incentive to sell Newcastle is now less. This is bad news for us. Fair play to Rangers though.
