He crashed a WWII plane onto a LA golf course today. They are saying he is in critical condition. The news being idiots just said "He was apparently flying solo."

They have changed his condition to moderate now.

The police are saying he called in to air traffic control just before that accident and said, "I got a bad feeling about this."

    Laugh it up furball.

Turns out Ford is being wrongly accused of crashing it. The real pilot responsible was a one armed man but he got away from the scene leaving Ford as the only suspect. US Marshalls are now looking for the Fugitive.

Strange I heard his best friend was suspected of sabotaging his engines.

All joking apart, I watched the American News this morning (is it CNN), and whereas they announced his condition was 'moderate to stable' they also stated that he had 'crashed his planes many times over the past 26 years since he first got his licence'! Surely someone will take his licence off him. I am little older than Harison's 72 and although you 'feel' pretty good your reflexes are shot to bits. If I tripped and fell 20 years ago my reflexes would have my hands out in front of me to cushion the fall but now you are on the floor before you can think about it. I stopped riding a motor cycle 10 years ago because of my fear that a child would run out in front of me and I wouldn't be able to react in time. To me it was a sensible thing to do. I do realize that other people can retain their reflexes into old age but not all. I have been an advocate for a yearly 'basic' driving test for people over 70. Could save a lot of lives and a lot of anguish.

I wonder if odds of crashing were 3,720 to 1

According to his Son he is a bit battered & bruised but is fine....worst injury a cut to his head

I'm not sure how his age has anything to do with engine failure or the fact that his abilities, landing skills & actions have been praised

As for driving tests for the over 70's.....yes it may save lives but statistically banning under 25's from driving would save a lot more. It would also be logistically impossible as in some areas there is a 6 week wait for driving tests......if every over 70 had to be retested each year that would probably rise to a 2 year waiting list. Have you also given up driving a car as a child could as easily walk out in front of that & your reactions would be just as slow...in fact you are more likely to kill others in a car than on a bike (where usually the main injury is to the rider)

The problem with old bastards on the road is, they drive so mind numbingly slow, they stop to let any old ****er out of a junction or across the road, that they infuriate everyone stuck behind them to the point where they're desperate to get past and make up lost time.

Then they crash and the old people roll past with their middle fingers up, shouting abuse out the window.

I can't believe people are condemning him without knowing what happened. Whatever happened to being presumed innocent?

He does seem a bit accident prone in his old age, & it's never his fault!<confused>

    Couple of points here:
'they drive so mind numbingly slow'
means they are probably sticking to the speed limits instead of foot down in between the traffic lights, and everywhere else it seems.

'they stop to let any old ****er out of a junction or across the road'
It used to be called courtesy bus drives still do have some now and again but car drives lack such basics that's why you get even more angry sat in your car waiting to filter out from a side street and can't.

    Never driven a car mate.
And a persons reflexes diminish with age.
