It seems that so is 5 days in Football. From OFH's Match thread on Saturday for Leeds Facts: The past five meetings between Leeds and Watford have seen 25 goals scored, 17 of which have been netted by the Hornets. Championship Table: 1 Derby 33 33 65 2 Middlesbrough 33 28 63 3 Ipswich 33 20 60 4 Bournemouth 33 30 59 5 Norwich 33 27 59 6 Watford 33 26 59 14 Leeds 33 -8 41 Wherever You Are In The World Enjoy The Game How they now stand 1 Middlesbrough 35 29 66 2 Derby 35 29 65 3 Watford 35 28 65 4 Bournemouth 35 31 63 5 Norwich 35 28 62 6 Brentford 35 12 61 7 Ipswich 35 17 60 How many amongst us would have dreamed so many results in such a short space would have gone our way. Come on you 'orns
Very few, I would think, but now I am beginning to have nightmares that the results will start going the other way.
Predicted Table based on last 8 games Pos Team P W D L F A Pts 1 Watford 46 28 5 13 89 57 89 2 Norwich 46 26 10 10 88 43 88 3 Middlesbrough 46 26 10 10 68 32 88 4 Derby County 46 24 11 11 88 53 83 5 Bournemouth 46 22 13 11 85 52 79 6 Brentford 46 24 5 17 75 57 77 I doubt that it will stay like that, but with everything so tight goal difference could be very important. A big win or loss could settle things for one team or another.
I'm in the same school of thought as NZH. I would love to believe that it's going to happen for us but we've been here too many times before. Still, keep grinding the results out and you just never know. One thing is clear though which is great at the start of March - it is actually in our own hands.
I seem to remember we all thought that in 2013 under GFZ - then proceeded to take just one point from five away games against the bottom five teams...
Mrs 'Tractor Girl' GG not happy this morning, she snapped at me and told me not to go on about Ipswich losing last night. She'd be even more narked if I show her that trajectory!
It's too exciting and nerve wracking but this is exactly when the zola wheels fell off, I have a feeling of we get points on Saturday we will end up top 2! Saturday is a huge match, but they are all going to be now! I just how we don't confirm promotion against Birmingham coz i'll be away lol
The Wolves boards seem to be saying that the defeat against Bournemouth has made it absolutely critical that they beat us if they want to get into the play-offs. The supporters are heaping pressure on themselves. I just hope the players are too. Having said that, I can't remember a season when there is so little room for error. If your team drops points it is unlikely that all the other contenders will too, which can happen when there are fewer rivals Good to hear from you, H.
