This sort of thing is good, because it highlights areas where we need to improve. Showing your preferred subs bench, as well, helps to evaluate the strength in depth that the team has at the minute. I'd say we need at least one more full back, if not two, plus probably 2 CBs. I think the midfield is pretty much sorted, though if Sven fancies 4-4-2 we'll need a winger who knows how to put a good cross into the box. Tbf, the front 3 aren't bad either, though none of them have been particularly prolific for us, yet also haven't really been given a proper run in the team (as an out-an-out striker anyway). Obviously, we're craving a 20+ goals-a-season man, and I hope we get one, but I'd also like to see Waghorn, Schlupp et al given a proper chance this season. Getting back onto topic, I'd agree with your lineup, I think it's pretty much spot-on, though I don't expect Hobbs to be playing in a City shirt again (a shame, imo). I think it shows that the biggest concern atm, certainly in terms of strength in depth, is the defence.
Yep I'd go with that at the moment. That actually wouldn't be a bad side at all, but at the same time we still need to improve on it quite a bit if we want the autos.
Interesting, but do you really think Wellens can play a holding midfield role? That formation seems quite imbalanced. You need Abe/Oakley sitting deep IMHO. I think 4-4-2 is an option Sven might try, especially away from the Walkers.
Think he would relish the chance, hes a very gritty player that is just as good as Abe and Oakley in that position, and i think his distribution is even better maybe even his tackling / winning ball back-ability. He doesn't play that far in front of Abe at the moment anyway.
Tunchev is a free agent now. He is no longer under contract but has been invited to train with us with a view of a new contract

So we have a centre back thatâs been out injured for 2 years, a left back whoâs to old and will not play twice a week all season, and a forward line that doesnât exactly scream goals does it. Still a fair few more to come in I think.
