Rumours are abound that City want Brod to replace under fire Pelligrini this summer. Probably just paper talk after embarrassing them at Anfield on Sunday but quite often, there's no smoke without fire. Personally, I can't see it happening for a number of reasons, not least that Diego Simeone is stalling on his Atletico contract in a bid to get the City job (also a rumour!!) What do you reckon: true or not? Would he go? Who would you get in to replace him?
Yeah why bother just to have to deal with bigger egos who don't want to learn and then get sacked the first season you don't win at least the PL or CL? Not to mention City's squad is ****ed and about to go over a cliff. So many old players need replacing and FFP limiting them. Their academy has **** all coming through too.
The new TV deal that will come into play in a couple of years will put their (and ours) busgets on a different level....Parity with the top European teams anyway. In short, they'll continue to have money to spend......and the good news is that we will too!!
Me neither. Didn't Swansea fans say the same thing? Can't really see City going for it though, sounds more like lazy paper talk to me, unless anyone knows anything different?
Right now though Man City have the oldest squad in the league 7th oldest in Europe, behind Torpedo Zhodino, Fenerbahce, Slutsk, Atalanta, Podbeskidzie and Metalist Kharkiv Not exactly Brendan's ideal player profile
Even if he was offered it, he'd be stupid to go. He's won nothing yet and his record in Europe is dire. He is very much cutting his teeth with us. How long would he last at City? That said, I agree that if he got what he considered a better offer, he'd go. Past behaviour is the best indication of future beahviour
