Apprentice star Hopkins and Talksport’s Stan Collymore had a falling out after a racist tweet was photoshopped to appear as though it was sent from Hopkins' account to Collymore.

Collymore appeared to believe the tweet was sent from Hopkins prompting a series of angry replies including "I would buy Katie Hopkins' silence."

Hopkins, referring to Collymore's reported attack on Ulrika Jonsson in 1998, and replied: "Alternatively Stan, you could kick me in the head until I could not talk. I am a woman after all."

Hopkins received a number of abusive tweets herself and stressed the original racist tweet was made up.

She wrote: "Followers and detractors, the tweet in circulation is photoshopped nonsense. Please report it. Thank you."


Meanwhile a Devon veteran has called for the ex-Premier League footballer to be sacked from his radio show after he sent an offensive message about the Falklands conflict.

Collymore, formerly of Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Liverpool, sent a tweet on Sunday saying: “Falklands? Wasn’t anyone’s. We just thieved it, as we do. What glory, what triumph. A ****ing island with sheep. Rule Britannia.”


The message has since been deleted, but there have been calls for Collymore to issue a public apology.

City veteran Chris ‘Kenny’ Swain, aged 50, who served as Petty Officer Gunner in the Royal Navy from 1980 to 2003, said Collymore should be dismissed from his job as a commentator on Talksport radio.


“I had a lot of friends that died in the Falklands,” Mr Swain said.

“I think it’s just an absolute outrage. I don’t know whether he did it to raise his profile, but it’s just an outrage. There are so many upset people.


“He needs to be sacked from Talksport for a start, you can’t have somebody with opinions like that addressing the public. I am just so angry.

“It’s an insult to the people of Plymouth, and the Armed Forces on both sides. Everybody fought for what they believed in, whether as a young man or an officer it doesn’t matter, you are following orders and you believe in what you’re doing.”
 
Yes but I was kicked off the island aged 7 because with me there they had no room for any other kids in the school.
