Unfortunately United seem to have our number and Old Trafford is our bogey ground. Every time I am confident of beating those ****ers, they always beat us whether it's an own goal, a dodgy ref decision or if they hit us on the break after we've been putting relentless pressure on them. I just don't see it happening. I would be so ****ing over the moon to be proven wrong, though. Honestly. They are not that good, we just seem to have a mental block against them.
As for the game tonight - first half was absolutely drab, we were basically just cancelling each other out. Second half we sprung to life and totally dominated them, I can't actually believe the score was just 2-1 at the end. It doesn't do us justice because we had so many chances to score the 3rd and 4th goals, but it wasn't to be. Overall the game went how I expected. No team at the foot of the table is going to be easy to beat, especially away from home so don't be surprised if we have to grind out more wins against the lesser sides who will be fighting for their lives.
We made it more complicated than it needed to be. Happy overall. What do you think about our chances at Old Trafford?
That was an exception to the rule. In any case, I have no expectation whatsoever of beating you guys on Monday. We're already out of the Cup as far as I'm concerned.
Indeed I have. However it appears to be the case that no matter how bad you play or what form you're in, we are always the side that you guys love to play.
We also had no chance in hell of beating City at the Etihad with out apparent "away at a big team" stigma yet we dicked them 2-0. If you want to be negative bastards about it be my guest.
If we somehow beat Man Utd then all will be forgiven with Wenger. I'm serious. It will be a huge turning point for Arsenal, actually show some progression. It will atone for our poor performance against Monaco. Go out of the FA Cup and Champions League then it will be the same sad old story.
