Walker's kept Dier on the pitch there. Stupid from Eric Dier, he's lucky Oliveira didn't get a good touch on it.
3-2, Sigurdsson. Sleepy at the back, again. We've been utterly dominant and we risk throwing it away at the end. Sloppy.
Yeesh what a nervey ending to a second half that we absolutely dominated. I still make that one of our best performances of the season, so good going forward absolutely ripping them to pieces without getting the goal to put us out of sight. Great save from Lloris at the end there making up for his earlier mistake. Mason and Rose joint MOTM for me, I thought they were both outstanding.
What a save by Lloris, but what ****e defending. Thank **** we held on. Should've won that by far more than the solitary goal, but we didn't deserve to win at their place, so I guess it's not that bad. Really need to use the extra days off that we've got now to improve on our defending. It's not good enough. Excellent second half, until we conceded that silly goal. Utterly dominant, but we didn't take our chances. We've really got to be more clinical at times. Too much responsibility for so many young players, perhaps?
Typically nervy last few minutes for us after Siggy took his goal very well but we hold on. Another great save for Lloris's highlight reel at the death as well. A good performance really, we let them into the game a bit in the first half and weren't making our pressure pay, and should have had a man on Siggy for their second but apart from that we dealt with them comfortably enough. Overall its a solid performance after a disappointing week. We hadn't won in the League for a while so its nice to get that performance and result under our belt and hopefully push on from here.
Lloris must leave the field after every game feeling very unsatisfied even if we win. Although to be fair if it weren't for him, we'd never win anyway haha.
Gomis is fine, thankfully. The Swansea staff have said that he's got a vasovagal condition which causes occasional fainting. He did it three times at Lyon, apparently. Good to hear he's ok.
