I know it will change a little , and I think it will depend on the top 76 against each other (not our strongest suit !), but scine it applies to the other teams too, then using the current stats, and (lazily) using the last 10 games we have, with (mostly) 1 to play..... WFC 89 Boro 88 Naarwich 87
With norwich having 12 to play and they are top of the form league for the last 6 home games and the last 6 away then they must be closer than boro .But hell bells if them and us can get over 90 pts then dave will be happy lol
oops - sent that whilst in the middle of composing it. So, to continue.... I know it will change a little , and I think it will depend on the top 6 against each other (not our strongest suit !), but since it applies to the other teams too, then using the current stats, and (lazily) and using the last 10 games, we have, with (mostly) 1 to play..... WFC 89 Boro 88 Naarwich 87 (2 to play) Derby 82 Brentford 79 Bournemouth 78 Wolves 74 Ipswich 73 (2 to play) Well, that is much better for us than 3 weeks ago - cheered me up no end, as I thought we would be 4th. The effect of losing key players has affected Derby. If that happens to most clubs ( alittle) we seem pbetter equipped than most of them, judging by SJ's changes.
Wigan still in front & Ipswich being held at Leeds - surely the gods can't be so kind as to keep those scorelines for us...
I think today's results show the futility in trying to predict how the league will end. Only a couple of weeks ago I felt I could at least predict the top seven. Now Wolves seem to be making a comeback and every team seems to be losing to those near the bottom. This season has last game impact written all over it (until two teams break away from the rest).
He's having a beer and he's having a pie!!!!!!!! I know we are supposed to ignore everyone else but seriously can you ever remember having to watch for seven other teams results every week at this stage of the season - crazy stuff.
i see the wally with the brolly said they could go into the loan market .By the looks of things norwich and ipswich both played well just a bad day at the office and at least norwich will come back strong.
Beware teams at the bottom! We have to play millwall, Wigan Brighton & Reading. Updating my previous prediction, using last 10, we get... with 1 to play WFC 89 Boro 88 Naarwich 84 Derby 82 Brentford 79 Bournemouth 78 Wolves 74 Ipswich 73 how I would like that table with 1 to play !! However, here's a thought. Suppose all the top 7 win all their games against everybody except those against the top 7, and draw all their games against the others in the top 7. It's about as likely as seeing a fish riding a bicycle, but still WFC 92 Boro 92 Derby 92 Bournemouth 92 Naarwich 91 Brentford 90 Ipswich 85 Since Xmas I've felt if we finish above Derby or Boro we'll be first or second. I've had to add Naarwich back into the mix. However, alhough their run has been spectacular, the only signings in the window were Andreu (who?) and Dorrans. could they run out of puff ? And my final word on this subject is... It's now in our hands!
boro cant get 92 by only winning outside the top 7 they have to play 5 of the top 7 thats 5 pts then 6 outside of the top 7 thats 18pts plus 66 they have thats only 89pts but i agee were you are coming from
Thanks Brian - good spot. Do you fancy staring a statistics analysis company ? you could fix all my errors! Anyway, the madness that is refereeing decisions, not to mention all the other imponderables should put the confidence level of these predictions down to about 50%. Thought I'd had my last word - but no. Every game seems more important than the last one now. And Bournemouth might be back on track - with only 2 of top 7 to play.
and Naarwich have lost grabban - ankle operation. It might well come down to least injuries -best equipped squad. i'm only saying that 'cos we do seem to have the strength now. yo!
